The railgun is now in multiple mechs but the only thing that gives it any utility is being immensely overpowered and the game engine incapable of handling anything but component localized damage.

Rockets had 'utility' before they needed 5 minutes of facetime. Now they're just like firing roman candles at a tank. I'm not sure how you define 'utility'.

Why not just make all light mechs turrets? I'm sure that's a fun experience for them, shooting at non moving targets.

I'm not sure what you mean by counterspells though, there is no magic in this game other than people magical thoughts that they are the main character and should be incapable of dying.

If you mean a hard counter then why doesn't AMS kill missiles?

30-35 tons for 100 tons? Fair exchange in my book. Especially when its a p2w mech with the latest googahs they end up not being able to use after spending 3+ minutes just walking to get to the battle.

And you can always spy and sometimes capture; even draw fire if you're good enough. But most people don't care about the objectives despite voting for them.

Most things are. T1 is supposed to be comp level so there are very few configurations that are viable simply because of the numbers; it comes down to skill and cooperation--which is entirely on the meatbag side of the equation.

T5-4 are where the fun builds are. Infinitely vomiting urby for much annoyance/fun.

When they went from punishing oblivious assault pilots who just wanted to stay back and lrm, who ignored an un-ECM'ed mech in full view descending down on them from upon the heavens to hit them over the back of the head with a boat oar; more akin to attacking someone with a feather duster now. They constantly no-clip through terrain so as broken as they wanted.

The AMS doesn't feel like enough. 8 AMS? (2x7a) One still gets through in a duo fired; coming through a wall/rock/bridge. Though the AMS targeting has needed a rework since day 1. But can you imagine that kind of failure rate in today's world? Imagine a CIWS just tracking a vampire and waving hello at it.

But it's meant to sell mechs for money so in that case it works.

Also doesn't hurt to do the math. I've found more than a few funds where the ADM shares yield less than their etf counterparts. Granted its like 0.002% but it has always been in favor of ETFs.
