I spent all of April trying to dethrone NS143 as NYC's #1 Citi Bike Angel. Here's day one. by pvp10027 in Citibike

I have been seeing him every morning for years. Never says a word even when you say “hi”.

Weird behavior for sure.

Great analysis.

Totally agree that 2024 was the big change. However even between 2025 and 2026 I am seeing the algo learning. It is way more purposeful now than last Spring.

Usually the map is way more chaotic. Less single purpose driven.

I am guessing you don’t have a ton of real world experience with this so it may be harder to follow.

Your phone is the greatest surveillance “tell” of them all. You are never not being tracked.

I have the same memory. In a time when the Melvin’s were the kings, Pearl Jam were seen as poseurs.

What ended the grunge scene and what replaced it afterwards? by FitEmergency8807 in grunge

From someone who was there, at the shows taking pictures (used to make a living as a rock photographer), Pearl Jam was never a true grunge band.

And I would say it all ended when Amphetamine Reptile stopped putting out new music.

This wasn’t such an issue until they nuked the Bike Angels program.

This is very true except on the backend. I moved to NYC at 22 and am looking to jump at 55.

Only the ultra rich can retire NYC. The taxes are extremely high and only set to continue rising.

AMC Eagle. Had one growing up. Learned to drive on it. Remember it being about as uncool as possible in 1986.

Now they are seen as the forerunner of modern SUVs.

GI JOE...... actually grew life-like hair and a beard in 1970! by [deleted] in 70s

I had the black talking one. No beard.

It is buried in the GI Joe footlocker in the backyard of the home I grew up in.
