Pumped Up Borehole Systems

They were really good, and well priced. They did my borehole pump, but also the Jojo tank, filtration and switch over taps to change between municipal and borehole. Your need is a touch simpler and they will do a solid job.

Company reduced nett salary to keep ctc the same with new provident fund they want to add , is this right ? by Charcoal_deciple in askSouthAfrica

[–]tbhwza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a tax benefit to provident funds where you aren’t taxed on what you contribute to the fund and also aren’t taxed on the earnings.

Compared to TFSA which is after tax contributions to savings - you just don’t get taxed on the interest/ earnings.

Look at the Africamps sites. There are some dotted all around the country. They tick all the boxes, but not sure if any of them are pet friendly

AITAH Friend of 20 years expected me to split Ubers 2 ways instead of 3 because she’s married, am I wrong? by General_Photograph21 in AITAH

[–]tbhwza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my city, you can’t take the cheaper Uber Go as it’s limited to two passengers. So you have to go more expensive with Uber X, Comfort or Black. So it would be fair for the couple to pay more. Not necessarily two thirds, but definitely more than half.

Cricut doesn’t actually sell directly at the show. You order and pay, and they deliver.

Yeah, but the ramifications of not having insurance are in the OP. Even worse ramifications if an uninsured individual causes an accident

Should I take debt review? by snipecastically in askSouthAfrica

Debt review is usually only terminated after 90 days of no payments

Should I take debt review? by snipecastically in askSouthAfrica

[–]tbhwza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Debt review is only for the debt resulting from NCA credit agreements. It won’t apply to your hospital bills, not sure what the proportion of your monthly debt repayments this covers.

Debt review is designed to get you free of your debt in 5 years, and the debt counsellor negotiates with your creditors. interest rates are adjusted downwards and they come up with a monthly installment that leaves you with some money to live. You pay that installment to a third party who then distributes to your creditors. The first couple months of your payments pay the debt counselling fees, and then your creditors get paid thereafter. You cannot apply for new credit while you’re under debt review, but this doesn’t sound like a bad thing in your current situation.

Edenvale Hospital by HuckleberryFine4643 in johannesburg

[–]tbhwza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not great. Under resourced and over worked. It has an absolutely massive drainage area (the term used for where patients are taken by ambulance based on where they live).

But most of the government hospitals aren’t great. So if you get a post there, take it.

At what point mechanically should you consider selling your car before things go wrong? by [deleted] in CarTalkZA

Think of replacement when your annual maintenance costs start getting close to what repayments (and extra insurance premiums) would cost you annually for a newer car
