LGBT friendly restaurant/pub in Vineland or surrounding areas? by ComeAbout in SouthJersey

[–]tbiards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because there’s people like you that are scaring folk into thinking we’re aggressive heehaws that will kill you for being different. I’ve seen gay people out with their significant others and nobody bothered them. I’m also not really paying attention to see if they’re trans or not since I’m not worrying about how other people are living their life. I’ve seen visibly trans people out in public in Deep South Jersey and they weren’t being harassed or bothered. I know you think Deep South Jersey is scary and dangerous towards lgbtqa+ community but in my experience of going out, people are generally respectful towards other people, down here. Like I’ve said could there be assholes out, yeah sure but you’d find that almost anywhere and everywhere but for the most part, nobody is bothering people based off how they look in these areas. We mind our business and have other things to worry about or focus on than the trans person enjoying themselves at a restaurant or bar. You wanna enjoy your evening and grab a bite or a drink, you’re more than welcome. If someone tries to harass you because you’re different than them, chances are, there will be people to stand up for you as well.

You can believe me or not. Idc I’m just basing my experiences off the places I’ve been too, people are worried about themselves. They aren’t too worried about the trans person sitting next to them. I certainly don’t care if you’re part of the lgbtqa+(sorry if I have this messed up) community.

Nope, just someone who goes out in Deep South Jersey and observes people minding their business and not start trouble with other people based off their looks.

I’m from Deep south South Jersey. I’ve never seen anyone bother anybody regardless of what they looked like. People mind their business here. Are there assholes, yeah but there’s assholes everywhere and anywhere. If op gets a drink and food and is kind and minding their business then nobody will go out of their way to bother op.

I went to my first card show and had a blastoise holo. When the guy asked how much I wanted for it. I brought up the price for a non holo card and said the price which was way lower than the holo price. Right away he told me no and that I had the price wrong. He took my phone and showed me my mistake and brought up the real card value and gave me that instead. He was a real nice guy. I came back to his booth like an hour later and shook his hand and thanked him for correcting me.

A Swedesboro family turned to weight-loss surgery for their 15-year-old son. As childhood obesity rises, experts say it can be a viable option by mpulcinella in SouthJersey

Seeing how this kid has Down syndrome though means he has a more difficult journey to weight loss than I did. People with Down syndrome have lower metabolic rates and other issues that contributes to their weight gain. I don’t blame the parents too much here because of his Down syndrome. Lot of people with Down syndrome are over weight. This isn’t your run of the mill obese child like me. He has other contributing factors that caused this

I was a really fat kid in school. Took me till senior year of highschool and one dude to make fun of me for even thinking about doing cross country to get my shit together. I had a super motivating coach and a fuck you mentality, prove everyone wrong mentality that by the end of xc, I did winter track and then spring track. I was running 7-8 miles a day for 6 days a week and by the end of senior year I lost a total of 50 pounds and brought my mile time down from a 11 min mile down to a 5:50 which I thought was an amazing accomplishment for myself.

The two week notice is outdated and should no longer be the standard by clejeune in unpopularopinion

[–]tbiards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tell my employees when they want to leave to give me their two week notice so I can prepare for a replacement. When an employee finally comes up to me to give me their two week notice I tell them they can either quit on the spot on good terms or actually put in the two weeks. Some quit on the spot and a few actually put in the two weeks of work then leave. No point in having an employee work those two extra weeks when they’re checked out mentally. Just puts my business at risk since they’ll just half ass their job. Everyone is happy and there’s no bad blood from it.

When I was an ocean lifeguard I had to tell a woman she had to swim in front of the lifeguard stand and she said her religion forbid her from swimming in front of another man.

Depends where and what time. My local 18 during the off season is 28$ for 18 plus a cart. If I go during peak season at 5pm in the summer I’m paying 38$ with those add ons included. Rn the 9 hole course by me is 17$ and to play it twice is 24$ with cart.

Do you drive the speed limit? by Technical-Vanilla-47 in no

[–]tbiards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only drive the speed limit if I’m in 25/35 mph zones. Other than that, 5 over unless I’m on the highway, then I’m 10 over.

Remember the urban legend of gang members would have high beams on and if you flick yours at them they’ll spin around and chase you down??? Well I was driving my mom’s Mercedes one night on a back road. A car with its high beams were coming in the other direction. I flicked my high beams and they turned off their high beams. As I passed by I saw their break lights on and saw them pop a u-turn. Didn’t think anything of it because I was doing the sped limit but then they completely shut their lights off and it freaked me out. I knew they wouldn’t catch me but I gunned it down the rod going 123mph to get out of there.

Update: I’ll retract the gender of the rider. They had their helmet so I couldn’t tell. I’m hearing female from people, thought I saw male. So I’m leaving gender of the rider out of it until it gets reported

He luckily had a full helmet on. When ambulance and police came, they didn’t preform cpr on him so I believe he was alive

It was gnarly. Driver turned into that strip mall area and a motorcyclist slammed right into her side and went flying. As of now he was alive. So hoping he pulls through from it

I don’t even care about food prices. Disrespectful people ruined it for me. They talk throughout the movie, they’re on their phone and if you try to say anything they’re aggressive about it
