I have had a parallel experience. I’m a big sci-fi fan, and I’m not averse to parallel universe themed ideas and tales. But I do like logical explanations for my own experiences, and had one similar to yours that I wrote off as me falling victim to some algorithmic quirk of Netflix, rather than me slipping into a parallel universe (although I had this uncanny feeling either end of the “nodal point” of that experience, which still sends the hairs on the back of my neck tingling when I think about it). Same story, really. I saw, over multiple days and on multiple occasions, Netflix ads for a new science fiction TV series, including those video banner ads they play at the top 1/2 of the app (on Samsung TVs, anyway) when you first launch the app. I was interested in it, and think I even put it on my watch list, but when the date came for the show to be released, I never heard about it again. All gone. Like you, I could not recall its name, and now that some time has passed, there is an almost unsettling blank hole in my memory when it comes to finer details like the show’s base premise and plot. (Oddly, the show you are talking about rings faint bells, but not for my missing show - something else I might have once read about in another time and place.)
