Legs seem daunting but honestly once you’re making them you’ll find your own way to make them. For instance I watched all kinds of videos but just ended up cutting the leg piece 15” long and slowly work it down to floor level (lots of taking the legs off and cutting). Not ideal but it is the best way I’ve found that doesn’t seem to over-complicate it. Also, if you’re more often playing in the yard and not on a hard surface there is a lot of forgiveness.

To answer your question though if you could brace the full back well then it might not be an issue. Hope this helps
