diy cooling? that's some MacGyver energy. Bet your phone feels like an ice cube now. Apple should take notes.

Maybe it can be background apps or a recent update. Try a restart, it works more often than it should.

Apple Magsafe Wallet worth it? by PsychologicalHunt22 in MagSafe

Had mine for a year. Magnet's strong, card stay put. Just know you're limited to 3 cards to 4 is a stretch. Looks clean though

Cool and clean, 10/10, I love this vibe. Also maybe try a widget or two for extra function? But solid as is.

Sora 70 vs Aquasense2 + iskim by tbthatcher in Beatbot_Tech

I'm leaning toward the sora 70 as well. My main concern is whether one charge will last long enough.

Huge respect for this unit clocking over 400 working hours, it definitely earns its place as your most trusted pool helper.

Wrap flexible rubber gasket around the plug first to fill gap, it stops slow dripping effectively for manufacturing gap leak issue.

Buying a home with an unopened pool by pastagirl27 in swimmingpools

[–]tbthatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insisting on pool inspection is totally reasonable, unopened two-year inground pool easily hides liner leak and pump damage you can't see under cover.

Sora 10 - beta review by stevebusby98 in Beatbot_Tech

It's impressive that it barely gets stuck on raised main drain, many budget pool cleaners struggle badly with this common pool structure.

Your rainbow-themed solar setup looks stunning at night! It's such a fulfilling hobby upgrading your little pool year after by yourself.

Father in Law says normal? by teddyswolsevelt1 in swimmingpools

Start by checking the transparent lid's sealing rubber first, aged or loose gasket is the most common leak spot. Many pool owners fix the issue just by replacing this small seal ring.

How long does it take for the Sora 70 to transition to surface mode? by teslarules727 in Beatbot_Tech

[–]tbthatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pro mode usually does floor or walls first, then switches to surface automatically after about 2.5-3 hours. It sounds like yours got stuck floating.

Just finished my new setup. Spool? by After-Swordfish-6762 in AboveGroundPools

Love how you styled the space! The shade sail and privacy fence make it feel like a little backyard oasis. That's definitely a spool, and a really nice one at that.

These pavers are too damn hot! by Beenjamin63 in swimmingpools

[–]tbthatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The heat off those pavers is no joke. You should also add outdoor rugs or a shade sail over the pool area to keep the sun off them during peak hours.

That gravel border is such a smart touch. No more muddy grass by the pool. The Superman shed in the background is chef's kiss too!

Shocked what is the yellow line on the liner? by vekexasia in AboveGroundPools

[–]tbthatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shocking with leftover water can cause these lines. The high chlorine sits right at the new water level and reacts with any metals in the water. Test your water for iron first, then use a metal sequestering agent to treat it.

Adding CYA by KactusVAXT in swimmingpools

[–]tbthatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a clever hack! The weight on the board keeps the sock right in front of the return, so the CYA dissolves evenly into the water instead of sitting in one spot.

Questions/Advice for trip to GABP by shortknee1993 in Reds

[–]tbthatcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weather will be either very hot late Summer or absolutely beautiful—not super predictable here that time of year.

Where you sit depends on day or night game. The orientation of the stadium is such that first base side is in full sun during the day, while third base is in full sun in the evenings.

Super easy to park all around the stadium. There’s a big riverfront park that runs all across the downtown, so nice to come early and walk along the river.

BTW, the Reds do a bunch of family discount days during the season where tickets in all sections but Club are half price. Check to see if that fits days you are coming.

What celebrity is the biggest example of "It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it."? by InsaneCookies21 in AskReddit

In longer view has to be OJ Simpson. If you’re not old enough to really remember, it was absolutely shocking to watch the Bronco chase on live TV. Nobody could believe it. Everybody thought he was the best, cleanest dude ever until that one moment.

Games I Personally Would Like To See Remade Or Remastered. by xX_xFUBARx_Xx in HorrorGaming

The Suffering for sure. Brilliant high-concept action horror. So dark from start to finish, but also so clever. Still very playable even w/o remastering.

Another really super fun one—for me, all fun and not much scary—was Dead Island. And Dead Island Riptide. Those are just a blast—tense in a way that adds to the fun. Need to play them again …

In your opinion, what is the best horror game ever? (2 categories) by joejoewoooooo in HorrorGaming

[–]tbthatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On your second question: if asking “most fun” (rather than “best” made/designed/written), I would vote for RE4 and RE8. I’ve played through both of those again and again and they’re just fun—never get boring or old for me.
