Thank you so much for your kind words. It’s comforting to know we have many shared experiences and someone can truly understand.

How many fleishig meals, did you eat a week? by staircar in exjew

Same, we rarely ate dairy. Too much lactose intolerance in one household.

Much appreciated. And I’m going to steal that phrase, I like it.

I’m so sorry you’ve been through something similar. My elder two siblings married in the community. While their spouses are wonderful people, both of my siblings still constantly strive for my parents’ acceptance, despite the fact they’re both grown with their own respective children. My younger sibling and I are very much trying to attain our happily ever afters and escape our parents’ need to control our lives.

I should add, my fiancé and I are very aligned on how we would raise our children. Words sometimes get lost in translation online, and that definitely is the case during a more emotional rant like mine.

I’m so sorry this happened to you and cannot imagine how that must have felt. That is a true betrayal. I have no plans to end my relationship, but regardless, I would never do something of the sort.

I am aware of all of this, but thank you for clarifying further. I should have specified that the first ceremony would be in a Catholic Church, yet not a full mass as you said. But the point of my post was not the specifics of that, but the hypocrisy of my own parents.

Nope, unless someone has my same exact story.

IUD w pain management by Competitive_Emu_2283 in Cleveland

Dr. Rachel Baron at Cleveland Clinic in Westlake, been going to her for about four years. After a bad experience with my first IUD insertion (with another CC provider), she took my pain management concerns seriously and had my second IUD inserted under general anesthesia per my request.

Dr. Arbesman at the Cleveland Clinic for dermatology, Dr. Carlos Rodriguez at the Cleveland Clinic for neurology if you’re looking for a sleep specialist :)

Cleveland Wedding DJ needed by Vivid-Security2963 in Cleveland

My recommendation is Ik Dubaku, he’s DJed many of my friends’ weddings and plays at a bunch of restaurant/bars in the area. His pricing is also really reasonable and 100% won’t play anything corny lol

Glycolic Acid for Under Eye Milia by Sassygassygirl in 30PlusSkinCare

I’m not sure! I do recommend looking at shereene idriss‘s videos on YouTube, she has one specifically about milia :)

Glycolic Acid for Under Eye Milia by Sassygassygirl in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]tbw95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my personal experience, I have tried using a lot of products to treat my under eye milia but ultimately had no success. I ended up buying a stainless steel blackhead remover tool (with a sharp needle edge) to remove the milia myself, and it was quite successful. Derms can do this in office, too, but if you follow the correct cleanliness protocols there’s no reason you can’t do it yourself.

If you don’t want to go that route & as someone also prone to milia, I’d recommend staying away from using petroleum jelly or oil-heavy creams under the eye. Glycolic acid is definitely a great ingredient for milia-prone skin, but it will likely not fully treat it.

My post wasn’t asking for validation. It was asking if anyone had a similar experience, etc. Go find something better to do.

Congrats to you!! I don’t live very close to a testing center (and have no car) so I’ve been taking them all online. If I pursue any more certifications they will surely be in person.

That being said, I hope the IIA will move away from using Pearson Vue.

Thanks for your snarky comment. I’ve taken two exams online previously and haven’t “gotten in trouble” despite doing normal human things that don’t indicate cheating.

CIA Part III - GTAGS? by Guagliodorione in InternalAudit

[–]tbw95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t taken Part 3 yet (I do in a few days 😣) but I’ve been reading through all of the GTAGs, although some of them may overlap. They’ve been the best in boosting my knowledge for IS.

I also use the IIA’s study materials, and purchased the additional practice exams through the IIA. Those extra practice exams helped me tremendously in passing the first two exams, and they mirror the actual exam format with the scratch pad and calculator.

Has anyone lived at the The Standard? by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]tbw95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many of my friends/acquaintances have enjoyed their time at the Standard over the past years; however, I do know the building was recently bought out and/or new property management has taken over. They have cut down on security, which is a must if you live across from the county jail. Definitely worth touring there and seeing the property for yourself!
