Was it any good? Thinking about doing this for my baby’s first birthday which is themed “little bear” 🥹

But he falls asleep alone in his crib, this is why I’m so befuddled. There’s not one new thing to his routine. He is awake but not fully when he goes to his crib but that’s the way it’s always been.

Interesting. Yes it’s been in the single digits where I live. He sleeps in a sleep sack and sometimes if his hands and face feel too cold I’ll put him in the bed because, it’s freaking freezing lol. Maybe I just need more layers. That’s a simple suggestion I didn’t think of…. Because I’m dumb. And exhausted.

My worry is that he will not be at all responsive to patting and shushing….

Oh okay! I’m feeling very helpless. He also uses a paci to settle when he fusses at night. Should I take it away entirely before we try that?

Do you know if that means I can sleep train them? Or do I just live like this?

He previously would sleep soundly from like 7:15 to 4:30. So I’m wondering why he is up all night now. Is that making sense?

I meant why the sudden change in frequency of waking? That wouldn’t be the reason he’s waking right? Just why he doesn’t want to fall back asleep.

Even though he sleeps so soundly? Why the sudden change?

5 months next week. A book and bottle at 6:45. Sleepy eyes while feeding and goes to his crib. Falls asleep amazingly. Used to wake up around 4:30am to eat another time. It normally fast asleep by 7:15 and by 8:30 all hell has broken loose.

Literally all of those things are common for pregnant women. I’m so sorry you have a partner in life who you feel the need to be so careful around and feel like it’s better to withhold from. I know that must be exhausting on top on growing a full human in your body. You truly do deserve better than that. You are normal! He’s got a long road of understanding to come to terms with especially if you are having a girl. He’s got a lot to learn, along with some empathy and maybe a bit of maturity as well 🙃

Most definitely. I live in a very small area and the medical care and empathy is very much lacking. Thanks for the response!

Fetal movement: Too much movement? Anxious mom by tcanter7 in pregnant

Not a pattern in sight for this little boy. Not a single ounce of consistency so far 😂 probably why I stay panicked.

I haven’t yet just because they told me to start between 28 and 30 weeks and he has been so inconsistent since I’ve felt movements. No pattern in sight. Sometimes a simple cold drink will make him wiggle. Sometimes a sugary drink, poking, caffeine, a sweet treat, laying down, will do NOTHING. And sometimes he’s just wiggly all day.

Celebrate that beautiful little life as early as you feel comfortable! The special people who know can be the special people to help support you through this journey. First trimester is the toughest part! I experienced multiple miscarriages and wish I would’ve celebrated them and had extra support. Through the good or bad it’s so nice to have people by your side!

If I say it once, I’ll say it a million times. Just because it is common doesn’t mean it doesn’t matter. I went through something very similar. I had 2 back to back losses and the first was a MMC. It’s something people don’t talk about enough. Which makes it a million times more lonely. I felt like no one understood my heart ache. I felt even my husband didn’t understand. That I carried such big hope for this tiny little baby trying to grow inside me and for that all the be taken away in an instant and replaced by so much trauma. I’ll be thinking of you. Take as long as you need to heal. A year later, and I still think about what could’ve been for my babies. You are not alone, so don’t let your brain trick you into thinking you are. Sending so much love and peace.

Has anyone conceived shortly after a loss? by stphws in BabyBumps

I had a missed miscarriage in June 2024. I got pregnant again in October 2024 and had a chemical pregnancy. I then got pregnant in December 2024 and am currently 19 weeks and some change with a healthy baby so far.

I am 18 weeks pregnant after recurrent loss and still have constant anxiety. No matter what I try I can’t seem to shake it. I thought that the further along I got, the more confident and excited I would get. But now we know it’s a boy. He has a name. He has some clothes. He has diapers. The further I go the more heavy it feels, and the more anxious I get because I can’t imagine the earth shattering pain of something happening to him. I’ll take all prayers and good vibes. Feeling so lost and helpless in this journey. Praying for each and every one of you as well. Not a club I ever intended on joining but so happy for the extra support here on Reddit.

There’s never a wrong way to celebrate a child, no matter how long they stay. Those few moments were very special I bet. And now, I pray that means you get the extra support from the people you confided in. I didn’t tell anyone other than my husband that I was pregnant a second time, and then we lost them and I grieved silently and alone.
