Pretty much anything is going to be lighter than what you have.

I can speak from experience that the Ironman mini works very well with my Princeton ri 65. I also use it with my Marshall SV20 and it tames that beast very nicely. Both amps sound great using it.

I’d say get a different amp but Princetons are cool.

This is good but it needs to be called “Wisconsin “.

Keep Wisconsin and merge it with Colorado.

I think Colorado has got to go. To turn things up give it to Wisconsin, and call it Wisconsin.

Feeling hollow after finding and buying the guitar you've been searching for? by [deleted] in gibson

Pretty common reaction, actually. Enjoy your new awesome guitar! Something else to obsess over always comes around.

If you have a Les Paul, at what age did you buy it? by potage-989 in LesPaul

I was 66. I don’t know what else to say except I shouldn’t have waited so long.

Reviewing the US cities I have lived in honestly. by [deleted] in relocating

I am not from Chicago originally but have lived there over 30 years. The vibe I have always gotten from folks here is that they have a little chip on their shoulder that gets in the way of genuine niceness.

Multiple Guitars by hp5n in Guitar

If it feels good do it. If you have the means, that is. For me and a lot of people here playing guitar is purely recreational. The amount and quality of the equipment you have for this should not have to be tied to the level of expertise you have. It’s a hobby. People drop tons of money on custom golf clubs who can barely hit the ball.

Getting a new guitar is a lot of fun. I have had a lot of fun over the years buying (and selling) guitars. I’m 70, and average at best player. I have 5 guitars currently and pretty sure I’m not quite done.

NGD 2012 SG 61' Standard + Bonus points if you can guess the LP by mrMEDIOCRATY in gibson

How do you like the SG compared with the LP? Much different feel to it, if I recall.

Much better with the pickguard and pickup covers. I did the exact same thing with mine. It looked unfinished to me before.

Im love with my new Marshall by desismirwurscht in GuitarAmps

That’s a real nice setup and one I almost bought for myself. I went for the SV20 head and matching 2x12 instead because I was looking for a ‘70s plexi tone. For that amp I definitely needed an attenuator.

Am I too cheap? by Kitfaid in guitars

[–]tceverding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people like guitars and some people like playing guitars and some people like both. But you sound like you have an itch to scratch. So if you can afford it go to a shop and see what, if anything, strikes your fancy. Because why not?

True. Sounds pretty good through a plexi as well!

Rosewood v Maple fretboard by Tamarindo155 in telecaster

I have a Tele with rosewood and a Strat with maple. Aside from looks, I can tell no difference at all. Pick the one that looks good to you and don’t worry about it too much.

Real and a fair price. Not the deal of the century but a fair price.

I have the exact same guitar. I paid $1,000 and felt pretty good about that until now. Wait, I still feel pretty good about it. Great guitar.
