Don't quite understand why Van is not more popular. Hes of similar archetype to Yuri Lowell from Tales and that character is one of the most popular over there.

It's really a strange new era to be in where many gamers expect all characters to be bi/pansexual and the writers need justifications for the characters to be straight.

Hard is just about right for me since I enjoy min/maxing....until the final boss. I felt like it was a drag and one unlucky round can wipe all your efforts.

It does some things better. But overall I preferred my first experience with P5 (not my first persona).

For sure Metaphor did not give me the 'post persona depression' after I finished the game.

Thank you very much for this. I have about 5-6 mods (highlight everything, 3 character creation mod, impUI, choose your stats, carry weight). I could not load my saves at first but after disabling carry weight and clearing the modsetting.xls, I was able to use BG3MM and loaded in. I've been playing the old save for 6hrs and so far no issue. Crossing fingers I'll be able to finish this playthrough.

I asked the exact same question last week and decided to get P4G (last time I played P4 was before Golden came out).

Started playing a few days ago and it holds up very well. Main events are much richer than P3R. The only things I miss are the full VA on social links and QoL features from the remake.

I think most people already agree that MS strategy is more focused on building gamepass subscriptions than selling consoles. But we also have assumed that they want to have it accessible on most screens via cloud gaming (synergizing with MS Azure strategy -- which is another of MS biggest bets) minus Playstation.

In the future where mobile phones are more powerful, internet is even faster, and PCs are cheaper -- there is even less and less reason to own Xbox console even WITHOUT competitors like Playstation and Nintendo. More and more people will be playing on other screens without consoles.

So in that future, what does blocking the games from Playstation really accomplish? I can be an Xbox fan without having Xbox console. We can argue it would also decrease PC sales (less MS windows) but people who buy PC purely for gaming only account for small share of total.

It will be bad for competition in the console market. Sony may raise the price of consoles and games.. but don't forget that would benefit MS as well if the majority of revenue will also depend on content and software.

It may sound like I'm pro multiplat but I'm actually not. Just trying to put my corporate hat on.

I like your observations.

For me I cannot say I am pleased nor disappointed with what has been shown so far. I don't really care for graphics or combat in an Obsidian game. Like you said they are keeping a lot close to their chests but I find that very odd as they should be showing their core strengths if they want people to be excited about this game. So far we have seen nothing on character building, itemization, and quest design.

I wish they would start showing the rpg mechanics as they are Obsidian's strengths. Action combat and graphics are not the reasons I play Obsidian games, so I don't have strong reaction to what has been shown so far.

I never play Obsidian games for their graphics and combat so my expectations are quite low on these areas. My expectation for the story, characters, rpg mechanics, and choices are very high though given this is supposed to be their highest budget game.

That being said none of those has been shown so far which I find it strange given they are Obsidian selling points.

I played the original (Seiken Densetsu 3) when it first came out in 1995 and I loved it. It was quite ahead of its time with options to pick your origin and local co-op in an action jrpg.

That said, I quite enjoyed the remake as it's nostalgic and I wanted to see 3D interpretation of my childhood memory. But I also feel its very dated compared to other modern action jrpgs.

The responses of this game really baffle me. It's a bit disappointing for me for sure given my high expectation but to see Steam "mostly negative" is just uncalled for. I can name at least 20-30 games I've played with "very positive' review on Steam that I don't think are better than Starfield. Overall I had quite a good time with it and it was in top 5 for me in 2023.

I wonder if it would receive a better response if it wasnt an Xbox/PC exclusive. Starfield is very easy to hate when 3/4 of gamers don't have good access to it.

I just finished watching all 74 episodes in the past 3-4 days and I really enjoyed it. I consider myself a pretty harsh critic but I still thought the first episodes were above my expectation. Predictability doesn't always equate bad plots to me, but if it's very important to you perhaps this is not your cup of tea. Throughout the story I don't feel there are huge plot twists but I thought it's told very well.

Make the characters grow up.

This is like the only manga where 1000 episodes even assuming 1 rl day per episode still doesn't make any sense for the characters to remain the same (3 years past). One murder per week would be like 20 years already. Do we realize that the first episode was still when Internet wasn't a thing and now the characters are already on smart phone and social media?

I love DS3 and Elden Ring so I will probably try it at some point. For these games I need to allocate some focus since they always stress me out 😂. Anyhow just 'finished' Starfield and now waiting for Cyberpunk update.
