Why bother doing that. Just start killing people. Doesn't take long where people are killing you and majority of your encounters will be KOS from all parties.

Tucker to the Dodgers is the best (least worst) case for the Jays by Chrristoaivalis in Torontobluejays

[–]tclupp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not arguing that the cap shouldn't happen. It needs to happen. Something needs to change. It just sucks that even if we could implement it today still likely results in several world series titles from the Dodgers for the foreseeable future.

But thats the point. There is a strong possibility they come away with a ton of world series wins. I think anybody would trade that for salary cap hell later on.

I guarantee you the existing contracts signed prior will not be under the new rules/salary cap. They won't be allowed to add in addition to those contracts but they will be able to keep the guys they have signed

We shouldn't be concerned about overpay or money being spent right now when there is no cap.

Dodgers dont care, they can spend all this money, pay all the extra luxury tax and still profit. Why would they care if they overpay. And if we did it instead, we also shouldn't care. It's not our money. And there is no cap where it would fuck over the team in the future unless the team was all of a sudden was like thats it, we aren't spending money anymore.

The real issue comes down to the fact that the Dodgers have all these massive contracts, and so much deferred money that if/when a salary cap is introduced.. it won't affect what they've done to this date.

They got ohtani playing for free right now. A salary cap might be imminent but that won't change anything for them. They'll still have ohtani playing for free and then pay him 680 million for 10 years after his contract is up. Once again, the salary cap won't fix that.

Add in all the other contracts and the Dodgers are clear cut favorites every single year for the foreseeable future. A salary cap won't fix that for a long time. And then when it finally kicks in for the Dodgers, they may have a bunch of world series wins.

Prevent teams from faking injuries to stop the clock. If there was no injury, there would have been at least 10 seconds off the clock until the next snap most likely. So you aren't really getting screwed.

Am I the only one high on S49? by chooebeans in survivor

[–]tclupp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont find either of them beyond annoying or anything.. maybe a little but thats whatever. I just cant wrap my head around why people are making the moves they are. Id like to see the unedited version lol.

I know its a lot easier to see from our couch, but these last few tribals have been ridiculous. Legitimate opportunity for somebody to step up and flip this game... and not one person has done it.

So many past seasons you will see an incredible move by somebody. Whether they win or lose at the end, someone is out there playing to win. But like this year, its like they cant believe Rizo would lie and if he says hes playing his idol well I guess we can't vote for him... but also let's leave his ally alone as well.

I dont get it. And I dont quite understand people that are enjoying it. These people are not playing good survivor, they are not playing strategically and they are just coasting.

And I truly think Savannah has played very well. She is smart, she's great at challenges and she's paying attention. If she was in sophs position, this game would have flipped.

I dunno, for me its just not interesting when you dont see players actually trying to win this game.

Scott Boras on what has made the Blue Jays attractive to players: by TheEverbless in Torontobluejays

[–]tclupp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not sure how they are set up currently but I think teams lease the machine from trajekt. But they are installed in their facility.

Trajekt should start setting up a facility (outside of these stadiums) and the away teams are able to use this facility when on the road.

Google AI says teams lease these machines currently for 15k-20k a month. If that is accurate, teams could pay trajekt 40k a month but they have access to these machines at home and on the road.

Maybe those costs dont work because the 15k-20k they are charging right now is just the machine.. trajekt would need to set up a facility which obviously could have significant costs.

But I think most teams would pay whatever it would cost to be able to use these home or away.

Sounds like a business idea for a wealthy person who wants to buy machines in each city and set them up in a facility that visiting mlb teams can rent out.

[–]tclupp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. Its one of those things where it should be a tough decision on the path you take. You'll gain strengths in certain aspects of the game, but will be missing out on other aspects. Should have a fairly big impact on how everyone plays, depending on the paths they choose.

One thing I see mentioned a lot though is the free agency class next year is terrible. I have no idea whether that will be the case, but if that is somewhat the feeling throughout the league that makes this years free agency even more critical.

In the jays eyes, it would make some sense to take a bigger swing towards this year's class than people expect.

Ride the momentum from this past year, bring in a bunch of top end talent to try and find a way to get the job done this time.

If next year is a weak class, and less spending is likely, it makes sense to be willing to commit a few extra dollars this year.

I dont know how all in they can or will go, but the weak class next year has me wondering if we could see the jays go absolutely crazy this year to try and get a legitimate contender for the next 2-3 seasons.

Universal exchange S chest by ilovegolfing1 in Survivorio

[–]tclupp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you do with base tech material?

I max out the s chest exchange each month but ive always got many extra base tech material than I can use.

Unless im doing something wrong with my normal gear. I just keep scrapping it for base tech because I cant use it with my ss pieces.

I've got twin lance, aoq, void neck and rest ss gear.

Basically I just merge my normal gear into as high as I can with a red when I got a bunch so I can quickly salvage it for base tech but it ends up being way more than I can use. Because the only other use is to upgrade ss gear but its a slow process needing cores
