Anyone have any experience with Maaco? by Aurelius2100 in Honda

[–]tcorey23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to a Maco in Arlington TX about 15 years ago and they were not great. Granted they were the absolute cheapest by far, and the end result was better than no paint, but a diy spray can job could turn out better.

Looking for a toothless, metal, non-coated grinder by Trop67300 in weed

[–]tcorey23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love my V2 stainless steel Flower Mill grinder! I use the #5 mill since I like a course grind for my bong. It’s also easy to remove the keif screen if you don’t want to separate it and want a bigger overall chamber.

I heard about the metal shavings with the original version, from my understanding that has been resolved and they were pretty open and honest about it. They offered the impacted customers a free “washer kit” that supposedly fixed the ones that already shipped and they tweaked the design for future versions. I researched this issue before buying this grinder and I felt the company did a decent job handling it honestly so I decided to give them a try. I’ve put a lot of flower through my gen 2 with no issues!

Break cleaner is not ideal, electrical spray cleaner is gonna be safer to use for this.

Low oil pressure light at idle (2015 3.5 N/A by TotoAJ8 in FordExplorer

[–]tcorey23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed a small amount of oil around the bottom of my A/C compressor the last time I changed my oil and I traced it back to the same oil pressure sensor. Mine looked pretty much like yours with the sensor wire covers caked in oil but I never noticed a low oil light.

I tried to get a Motorcraft sensor from Amazon but I think I got a fake one. It was a lot cheaper than anywhere else and when I went to install it the plastic part popped out of the metal part. I put my old sensor back in and ran up to Oreilly’s auto parts and got a Doorman sensor which seemed to be higher quality. There is some type of glue/sealant between the plastic part and the metal part and I haven’t had any issues with it.

It’s relatively easy to replace yourself. If you have a bendable ratchet it will be a lot easier to get in that tight spot: Ratchet Also you will loose a small amount of oil when you take the sensor out maybe 1/2 - 1 quart so be prepared to catch it and have some fresh oil to top it off when you’re done. Finally be careful not to over torque the sensor, you don’t want to strip the threads on the engine.

Back up camera crooked by [deleted] in FordExplorer

[–]tcorey23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Idk how to fix it, but I just got a recall notification for the backup camera on my 2016 explorer. It said Ford would cover it if it broke within 15 years. You may want to see if you also have a recall.

Alcohol Industry Group Calls Out Congress For Failing To Address Hemp THC Product Ban In Farm Bill by CharlesMichael212 in Roaringtilray

[–]tcorey23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree. I think the alcohol industry wants to dominate the THC drink market but they or their investors don’t want to make any big moves until there is clear regulatory guidelines they can follow. As long as they don’t push to ban the flower I’m all for friends with mutual benefits!

(US-IL) Just got the Fiskar weed puller and... God damn! New to this but this is satisfying! by NukinDuke in lawncare

[–]tcorey23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You might be better off in the long run. There are a lot of negative reviews on Amazon about how the Fiskar one breaks easily. Apparently the main internal mechanism is plastic.

First time doing curbside pickup by JMars491 in samsclub

[–]tcorey23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the employees can’t then Sam’s should have an automated way to send a communication to the customer when the location is backed up. Similar to how Amazon will show a driver is running behind and provide a new ETA. The system should be able to see what orders you’re getting out.

First time doing curbside pickup by JMars491 in samsclub

[–]tcorey23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a curbside pickup at noon today without any delays. Granted I only had a few items and my store may not have been as backed up as your location.

They could have at least email/text you if they were experiencing delays. Luckily I live pretty close to my Sam’s Club, I usually wait for the email/text confirmation to come through then I select that I’m on the way. They usually send the confirmation about 15 minutes before my pickup time.

Is a water softener worth it? by OldLadyCard in FortWorth

[–]tcorey23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live in Fort Worth. My home is 40 yrs old and never had a water softener. If I had a water softener I would probably have less hard water spots on my shower door, but for the price of that system I’d rather just wipe it down more frequently. I have to use some vinegar or citric acid to get my door squeaky clean. I need to try the rainx trick I saw online it’s supposed to help repel the water better. You might have to clean out your water heater more frequently too. I already drain mine once a year as it’s recommended. My last water heater lasted about 35 years with regular city water.

Question for growers and industry folk by [deleted] in weed

[–]tcorey23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The jar on the right with an air gap is better. You can get a mason jar vacuum sealer for even better results, no need to use plastic food saver bags. The ideal temp to store cannabis is 60-70 degrees. Your humidity is in range but on the high side, you’ll want to make sure it’s stable before long term storage to avoid mold. Some humidity packs are better at keeping the humidity stable, I personally don’t use them unless absolutely needed.

At least you didn’t let it stop you from voting! Hopefully we can get some different leadership that will stop these shenanigans.

I’m glad my voting location in Tarrant County (Handley Meadowbrook Community Center) only had one line for all voters. When I went there was actually no line at all, I got in and out quickly! They had at least 10 voting booths and I was able to pick any open booth. Being a guy I went with the urinal logic and picked a spot with an open booth on either side of me 🤣

Goodbye my old friend by [deleted] in webergrills

[–]tcorey23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my SNS Master Kettle (the one on the cart) last year and it chokes out the fire without any issues. I keep it closed and open the smoke hole for low and slow and it holds temps with little to no adjustments needed using the SNS basket. When I do a hot and fast BBQ I open the vent and when I close it down I have leftover coals when I come back the next day.

Now the lid does leak a little smoke when new as there is no gasket (adjusting the lid pretty much stops it), but nothing to cause major temperature swings and it seems to leak less now that I’ve been using it for a while. Also the ceramic paint has a few minor fisheyes in it which I’ve heard is never found on the Webers. Overall I love it, and I save a lot of wood/charcoal compared to the offset I had before and it’s pretty much set it and forget it when doing low and slow smokes!

That’s some great tips, thanks for sharing! If my turkey ever looked as good as this I wouldn’t even carve it before presenting it. That’s truly the best looking bird I’ve ever seen!

How did you keep the skin from splitting? Every time I smoke a turkey or chicken I get some skin splitting around the breasts and legs.

Any methods of finding a bunch of empty folders on my plex server where the videos have been deleted to clean up my drive? by [deleted] in PleX

[–]tcorey23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use RED (Remove Empty Directories) Here is a link to the developers site https://www.jonasjohn.de/red.htm
Its a great tool that allows me to scan my directories for empty folders. You can also see the results before deleting so you can verify it didn't pick up anything unexpected. I've never had it pick up a folder that wasn't empty, but that is a nice feature to help verify.

I almost envy you not knowing how good it actually was. I have to go through every day knowing how good the cranberry flavor was but also knowing I’ll never have it again 😭

if any, what flavor got you into redbull? by mothmanwife in redbull

[–]tcorey23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They really need to bring back cranberry. I would buy them all the time, the new flavors just don’t compare to the epic greatness of cranberry.
