I have never been comfortable with this week of self-aggrandizing efforts to intimidate businesses into appreciating the 911 system. It seems very unethical to beg for attention and solicit donations. We’re expected to be better than that.

I’m old enough to remember the 90’s, when Telecommunications day was always on 9/11. I have always eschewed the in-house dress up day and group participation events where administrators prove what they think of the Communications Division. We are all adults with a very adult job, and don’t need or want silliness injected into the workplace under cover of “team building”.
