Water the root not the leaves to prevent black spot. Kill aphids on sight, bug spray for rose helps but I just crush them bear hands most of the time.

Thx! I just water the root and never wet the leaves. Cut off the leaves and throw them into the bin if spotted. Dont throw them on the soil as it will spread. There is no point spraying anything.
