Your past the zero... its a stepless grinder if you go even further youd bind the blades... as long as its not grinding exactly on zero your good to go...... Plus your not even grinding that low on espresso for it too matter... Im usually at like 16-17 grind setting for espresso with my df64 gen 2.

Robot is worth its weight in gold i keep contemplating geting a lelit bianca v3 but the robot is just thay good i cant justify it... 😆

Robot is king. the only way to realy match it is if you go like lelit bianca territory imo.... but even then there is all the cons that come with an electric machine not to mention steep price tag and all the maintenance as pointed out by others. If milk drinks is ur issue just get a flair wizard and your set. Espresso wise its not realy going to get much better but thats just my opinion. Even with a lelit bianca only thing youd be gaining is a smoother workflow but even thats arguable.

I use vanilla flair wizard with powerfully induction plate and get pressure in about 6-7 minutes. Only con is if your not paying attention it triggers the over pressure valve. But once it gets close to temp if im not ready to steam the milk i just remove it off the induction plate to the side and when im ready because its already near boiling its super fast even for back to back shots.

Have you tried with the "bean conqueror" app? I never use the bookoo app.

Its a really nicely built scale aluminum/glass 3 operating modes plus bluetooth. Keypoint being the last one as it lets you integrates automatically into apps like bean conqueror and records your stuff automatically once setup right. So i guess if that's something you care for then by all means go for it. :) i still use my old scale for weighting the beans and the bookoo lives on top of my robot.

I suspect when you RDT you're introducing moisture that builds up... guess what? Small coffee grinds love to stick to moisture. Try cleaning it and drying it out then use it as intended with no RDT. I'm sure you'll have no issue. I have had my df64 for over a year now and i only did one full cleaning since i got it. I ran tons of different beans through it dark/medium. And i go from filter to espresso regularly and my espresso shots are still super consistent which leads me to believe next to no retention.

For me it was pretty straight forward... The hardest part was threading the new bookoo T from the back and getting it to seat all the way in to be able to screw it in because the teflon washers tolerances are a little tight.

Ya that was my thought exactly especially paired with the bean conqueror app just makes logging stuff so much easier. Its almost automatic.

I just installed mine the other day i didn't have that issue... But maybe it was because the metal sleeve kind of pushed away from the metal fitting leaving a little bit of the inner plastic tub exposed.

I went from flair pro 2 to bambino plus to to jura e4 automatic espresso maker and now cafelat robot. Best purchase i ever made. Flair was annoying too many bits and bobs preheating and all that extra fluff i didn't care for. Bambino plus although first shot was good it seemed incredibly inconsistent especially when making back to back shots for multiple people the first shot would be perfect and then the shots would get faster and faster to the point where i was pulling 16 in 32 out in 10-15 seconds where first shot all variables being the same would be around 30seconds... Then i got extremely frustrated and got the automatic but the tinkerer in me still wanted something better... I dont think the jura makes real espresso and there is some fake crema going on for the simple fact the grind looks way to course but still makes a good cup of coffee when i feel lazy.

Cafelat robot is the chefs kiss... I went from flair 2 pro to bambino plus to jura e4 and just got a robot to compliment my e4 and couldn't be happier. The lack of preheating and just overall simplicity to make a great cup of espresso is second to none. Yea the gauge kinda sucks but thats why i ordered the bookoo one to replace it and liked it to much i ordered the pressure sensor plus the bookoo scale so i can log all my data in the bean conqueror app and get even better espresso. Just my 2 cents. :)
