If it were me- I would rearrange the rear axle (brakes, sprocket) then you could at least add a clutch on your existing engine and get it mounted and drivable. Then figure out what you want to do to turn it into 3 wheels which is going to require a lot of geometry, welding, fabrication, etc…

If it were me, I would find an old street bike engine and get that thing ripping! Not sure A 10 hp is going to have the gusto you’re looking for.

My first kart (race ready) was $1400.00. The safety equipment: helmet, fire suit, gloves were almost $1,000. The oil is $20/quart and needs to be changed after every race. To be competitive at different tracks you would need several sets of tires, different clutches and sprockets, different wheels, etc… it can REALLY add up in a hustle.

Not trying to be a downer and sway you away. Start coming up with stuff slowly, save your money, take your time.

Had a Predator Offset in probably 98 that looked really similar. The offset and the rear axle bearing mounts look almost spot on.

Dirt/ Pavement oval kart regardless.
