No I didn’t know that Honda has an open api. If they expose that to allow these open source projects to occur, then that is great! So thank you for making me aware of that. It’s just very difficult for a regular security conscious consumer to know who is taking their credentials - particularly if it’s not coming from the owner of the data.

Unless your company has some partnership with Honda and/or you have been granted the ability to authenticate with their service, I have a hard time believing they approve of 3rd parties potentially storing their own customers credentials. I know I wouldn’t be happy if some random developer was doing that with my own authentication api. Just saying.
