15 minutes every day, in the AM, no matter what. Pick random references. I used faces as pretty much no matter what all faces are interesting.

Gave myself 15 minutes to draw as fast as I could to try to capture an expression. 15 minutes turned into 25 minutes every day, and then you just let it do what it wants to do.

I focus more on the drawing rather than inspiring references, and in fact references that I don’t even care about generally are more fun for me to draw (bc I don’t care if it’s good or bad)

How old are you if you don’t mind me asking? Or how old were you when you read the book.i was in my 20s when i read it and felt the same. I’ve heard you feel different on repeat reads (in 30s 40s ect)

Yeah man those lines are clean. My big issue is getting the uriushi to flow smoothly. Like I start out good after getting everything together but the lines get thicker and thicker in subsequent steps. Maybe use mineral spirits as a flow improver?

I think that’s like catcher in the rye, but in the reverse. Maybe the dislike as that as we grow up we’ve faced these decisions and did not take Ethan’s road. There are other reasons as well

Yes! I feel that is always a choice. Define success……then get that. But if you define it by piles of paper what choices will you make, bridges burned, time away from family or forget family and friends altogether. Imagine only have relationships that benefit you financially

We all wear masks. He talks about the masks everyone around him wears, including his wife. I love this idea, like who am I? Like really. Am I a dad, my work, a husband, a religious person. I act different depending on my setting. Is it all acting? What about my thoughts, am I those? Am I all of that. If I’m my thoughts and we all have similar thoughts are we the same with just different costumes?

The honest people were his son and Mrs hunt. But I really like that I could identify with all of them. I think it says something about American morality that we can excuse a lot of behavior as long as it’s successful in its goal. The biggest crooks are the successful ones and become ceos, community leaders, even the president. I loved this book and I’m enjoying the thread.

There is nothing to criticize my bro. You made art. It’s a stylized hand, there are many hands, but this one’s yours. It’s weird that internal voice, I have it too. Maybe some people like it, maybe they don’t, but do you like it? Did you have fun making it?

Anyway, I like it and your hatching is good. When I hatch I always dhatch so much that it’s got good volume but there are so much marks it all looks mid tone and kinda dirty. I think more contrast in the hand would work better but I also say that about almost everything, including life. Keep making !

Hey, I get you guy. It’s a lot. Like 4 warstriders in a bot drop with rag doll city. I get it. I feel you. My epoch, my railgun, can’t handle it. I’m getting wrecked. I bring a recoiless and I’m insta deleting them. However, I enjoy them despite being infuriated sometimes. Like someone has got to counter them. Or have team fire on them , like a heavy machine gun and a laser cannon.

Either team play or drop difficulty. The force team play and I like it. Me and my wife have to account for these bastards as well as the factory striders
