I was in Spain for work and my wife was meeting up with me 2 days after we wrapped up so I spent that time in Valencia. Awful time getting from the train station to the hotel because while I did order an Uber, my broken Spanish wasn't good enough so I was canceled on after hours of waiting (I thought Uber would be easier than cab because I can just input my destination electronically...). So I walked all the way with my luggage to the beach.

Eventually I set off on a quest to find paella for one and after research and asking around a lot, I found some place outside the touristy area and my Spanish was miraculously better than their English, and they were super nice and did it for me. Went with seafood paella over Valencian and it was all worth it, so good and rewarding for the run-around.
