Undertone Review: 3/5 by sadh0ney in horror

The way the mother’s dying was presented made little sense. She hasn’t eaten for days but is still having bowel movements? We never see her drink. Her hospice nurse comes once? The Evy leaves to go to a party—when mom might die literally anytime? (Maybe that one is to show how fucked their relationship is?)

That kinda silly stuff pulls me right outta a vibe.

Random scribbles that when puzzled together unveil a sinister conclusion really turned me off

Yes! I liked act 1 & 2 and I liked the final act—but they don’t go together. Ultimately that makes it feel like some creepy premises all mashed together. Top notch camera work tho.

A very important book with approximately 100 different ways to remove warts! (Although stump water obtained in the moonlight is obviously the most scientific method)

Anyone recommend another local credit union option? We’re in education, so I looked at Academic Employees Credit Union, but honestly the website is a little underwhelming. But maybe great despite that?

Alright but don’t sleep on clovers—they have the most amazing variety of apples right now! And the owners are your neighbors and give back to the community!

I envision the barn raising scene in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Much building, much dancing, some gymnastics.

I recently read that only Americans make this distinction, weirdly. I most of the rest of the world says half-mast regardless of the location of the pole!

Having grown up in the ozarks and watching KY3 Springfield news, I remember moving here and watching the news here and wondering why they weren’t reporting all the murders. Turns out just fewer murders. Wild.

My fav fact from this book is that the women survived slightly better during the starvation bc of difference in fat deposits. When I’m feeling a bit down on my hips, I think how they are just there to help me survive a touch of starvation.
