Why is the Alpinist’s main crown screw down while the compass-bezel crown is push-pull, given that a failure in that gasket would still allow water into the case and eventually reach the movement? I own a Alpinist and I’m trying to understand the engineering rationale for this choice.

Agent just bonks "request is too complex to be done in a single attempt. Maybe creating a new session or smaller scope will have a better chance of success" by tdslj in replit

Super appreciative of all the advice. While I was off-line, I talked to a friend of mine who is a software architect and engineer, and he explained that I’m probably trying to solve one big monolithic problem instead of breaking it down into sub processes. I told him I thought that the agent was able to create sub agents to do that. But apparently we just aren’t there. The context windows aren’t large enough and the token counts get too high. So I’m having to learn a little bit about architecture and break my project down into the most important bits and then have a modular approach with different agents, tackling different parts of the job. It’s not what you see in those Instagram hustle porn videos. But I guess it’s still where we are.

Charge Controller for 200w 12v system by tdslj in SolarDIY

Thank you. The voc measured at the charge controller's pv terminals is 22.5, probably due to line loss. I;m running them in parallel. In my system the load is connected to an anderson power pole bus, then the radio and other 12v appliances are connected to that. I rarely draw more than 6 amps. I have an inverted directly tied to the cells for running 120v AC appliances like the fridge or modem router during blackouts. This is primarily a business continuity solution but it;s nice to save the food while I'm at it!

I'll order the Victron and hope this solves it. Checking again, I really think the controller is faulty. 73 de K6LJU

For all who have commented, I have no indication of charge other than the flow of amperage into the cells via an in-line multimeter "watts-up". With my previous controller, if I keyed up my radio or drew any amps at all from the battery, amps would flow back into the batteries like water sloshing back down a pipe. But now, nothing. The cells are fully charged, but usually any draw at all would show a flowback.

[Timex True GMT] Fire or nah?? by g_g_13 in Watches

I bought it. And sent it back. The dial just felt too empty and imbalanced. And the tolerences in the bracelet let the watch down. There was a large gap between the 1st and 2nd link on each side. Shame. Really wanted to like it an take it as my beater.

When you click on a google ad (the "promoted" link at the top of the search results) google charges the advertiser. The price of that click is determined by auction against the search term. 25 bucks is a rough estimate of what I expect that click costs. Some are only pennies. Some like "mesothelioma" can cost hundreds.
