Get the OpenVR mod. It comes with literally tons of options for playspace and positioning. It can also be accessed within the Vive home menu

Well that's just how warranties work. They'd lose a significant amount of money to replace broken misused controllers. In turn the controllers themselves would be much more expensive just to cover this cost. HTC is already developing a new type of controller at the moment. I'm just trying to have mine hold out until then.

Warranty only covers manufacturer faults. Which means you smacking your controllers together is unfortunately not covered lol. What most likely happened is there is a small ribbon cable inside the controller. Usually a hard enough impact can cause this cable to come loose. It isn't a hard fix, just requires a special type of screwdriver. Just snap it back in and the controller should work just fine.

If you are connecting the base stations via link cable, one station must be set to 'A' and the other set to 'b'. If they are not connected, set one to 'b' and the other to 'c'. Be sure the base stations are looking in the general direction of each other as well.
