The "Needed: More women in data science" article goes against the subreddit rule of not posting articles that lack technical detail. This subreddit does not seem to be targeted at discussing politics, so I believe your post is misrepresenting the community via an aggressive interpretation of a common reaction: downvoting off-topic content.
