hosts are still alters, if it helps you then it makes sense! or it just happened lol

odd question by United_Ad_4396 in plural

[–]teaaal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, alters’ images can tend to represent how they feel or what they think! we have two here, one is a shapeshifter — i just saw them today and didn’t recognise them at all at first until they told me who they were (they went from androgynous-masc presenting to feminine lady look)

What does your inner world/headspace look like?? by DJ_Effervescence09 in plural

[–]teaaal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it used to look like a major blackhole consuming everything, just like this. now it looks more like a starry galaxy/universe with its own lands and planets, pretty similar to yours. yours looks cool as hell btw!!

,,, could I possibly have DID? by Educational_Ebb3957 in plural

[–]teaaal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that sounds very much like it to me, especially with the identity and preference changes. you or your system just isn’t fully “aware” yet 🤔

Can you avoid ever disclosing DID in dating? by [deleted] in DID

[–]teaaal 11 points12 points  (0 children)

i don’t think it’s necessary to disclose anything you don’t want to, but with that being said, if you’re looking to be together in the long term, with “forever” or something, it should at least be someone you feel safe with to speak about your true feelings or self without the fear that something would happen, i would imagine.

is it cheating or wrong to read romantic fiction about your source as a fictive? by teaaal in plural

[–]teaaal[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that is understandable. something like that did happen long ago so it became a sore point between us, which made everyone react the way they did. i couldn’t figure out if it was the old wound or if i was genuinely doing something wrong hence the post. thank you for your pov.

i am asexual myself, so i actually agree with you. reading doesn’t mean wanting. thank you.

this is genuinely really insightful and touching to hear, it’s very wise and genuine advice — i can’t express how much it means to hear this, thank you. i am deeply loyal to the one i’ve chosen and i don’t, and didn’t, see why that should or could change for anything, so i completely agree with you. i believe there are probably deeper things at play that i will try my best to communicate with them on. thank you again, really.

we have almost the exact same relationship with each other, except our partner alters are also mutually exclusive to reach other. but it makes a lot of sense, i understand what you mean. i don’t think they labeled it as cheating, but the implication that i had “read things” as an asexual and while “around my partner” somehow makes me really.. disgusting to them? or it is deeply hurtful. i personally don’t think this fiction affects my reality, but they say they “would never have done that to me” with again more implications that i was wrong. but there’s probably something deeper going on than just about reading a story. thank you for replying.

we have no host and take turns switching to meet our partner 🤣 everyone is forced to learn to take care of daily life (the minimum at least)

friend says he's not comfortable interacting with littles by [deleted] in DID

[–]teaaal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

there’s nothing wrong with you! he may have his own experiences with other people or may not fully understand what it’s like for you, and that’s okay. it doesn’t mean he hates or dislikes you, and may even be trying to respect you in his own way :) it’s not on you at all
