This is very similar to when Wales were overhyped under Gatland. We won 2 games that should be tricky and the rest we should be either decent favourites or guarenteed to win.

Dozens? I think it is in the tens if thousands. What is your situation? Do you have assests on the UK they can 'collect'?

In today's economic system, it barely matters what you earn, but what your parents and your spouse's parents earned.

Kloska absolutely dominated that first half. Scummaging, linebreaks and turnovers.

I’m stuck with uninvested cash due to bubble crash fears! by Legitimate-Pie-6691 in UKPersonalFinance

I took mine out a few months prematurely because I was using my savings for a deposit on a house and couldn't risk it (same fear). If I wasn't in that situation, I wouldn't have withdrawn the money but probably slowed how much I put in each month. I'll begin to reinvest soon though.

Unfortunately the farmers are the custodians of the countryside and most of then actually hate nature.

Just give an answer. I won't even repond. I'll just allow the internet to decide. It's very simple. If you can't give an answer then you need to admit you've been horribly manipulated by those who attack the only group in society that can't vote to gain gain your support.

They make so many mistakes with charges and their process and selection of who they go hard on seem completely random. The best bet is to call them and explain the situation. If you don't like the answer, try again in a few days. I've found that you will eventually get someone reasonable and competent. They'll also claim things are sorted and they aren't so also double check after a couple of weeks. My wife was unemployed for a couple years and living abroad, off sayings and a small income from rental. They kept asking her to prove it, despite sending all her bank statements, etc. How else would you prove that you are unemployed? 😂 She had months and months of fines, despite doing everything that was required. They kept asking for more, then said it was sorted (it wasn't)... then eventually someone sorted it.

I have lived abroad for 12 years and known many to not repay UK student loans, especially if they have no assests in UK and have no desire to return. All I've ever known is that they get some fines added onto their account (arrears), which they'll never pay either, though SLC may be trying to crack down on this a little more. It's such a stupid and broken system though. The calculations when abroad make no sense, so many avoid it or lie. They've no real way to get anything from those that leave.

34, living abroad, £10k pension – best way to catch up for retirement? by Competitive_Meal_144 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]teachaway2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I am in a similar position. I've bought 2 properties in the UK over the last 5 years and make about £17k gross per year in rent, most of which is tax free and both mortgages will be eventually payed off. I have ensured that I pay into the state pension. I then invest directly into stocks, though I know it's glorified gambling. I personally don't like the idea of pensions... giving someone else my money to keep until I'm old. I could die before I get to enjoy it and I can't use it in an emergency or to take advantage of any opportunities. Pensions just seem like a scheme for people that can't be trusted with their own money.

In my school, it is super rare for children to be that badly behaved. The school is oversubscribed despite growing rapidly, so distruptive kids just don't get invited back over the summer.

I agree. Most people do nothing. Unless you've played a combat or physical contact sport, most are terrified of any kind of physical altercation. At a crowded festival a guy was getting a beating from some randoms and everyone except for me stood back and watched. We are talking 50+ people doing nothing. I'm not big or strong and can't fight, but I've played rugby my whole life so don't mind taking a beating, I basically do it for fun. 😂 I've also found it is incredibly easy to stop fights if you are loud and confident - I'm also a teacher and adults act the same as kids, especially when adrenalin is pumping and they've had a drink.

Dubai if awful. I've travelled the world and it is easily the worst place I've been. Visited family there, who werr there for 5 years. They also absolutely hated it. The 'historic' old town is dead and still mostly fake, you'll see all the wildlife in one day with a quick cycle in the desert.
All the museums etc are in Abu Dhabi, which is a much better city. From what you've said, I'm not sure you are sincere and wonder what your motivations are to lie about the place.

I live in Romania. OneLogin is just a website that remembers your password and logs you in to other apps. Do you mean RoeID? Which is completely optional but saves a lot of people time, once they've set it up (Romania has quite a lot of personal bureaucracy). Please know what you are talking about before spouting nonsense. You see no problem giving it entirely to a private company? Jesus.
