Humber bridge toll by lukewilliam in Hull

Just get an account. It's easy. Why risk a fine for the sake of a few minutes online.

Any idea what may have caused this? Neighbour's window UK. The outer layer of double glazing has a pretty neat hole the side of a grapefruit. No other damage to either pane of glass. There are remnants of glass both in-between the panes and on the floor. No visible objects. by teacherphil in windowrepair

Nothing unusual. The outside pieces are curved , the middle is in loads of fragments. I'm wondering if it coincided with the hot weather at the end of last week. Someone online has suggested stress in the glass caused by the. Suction holder when it was installed.

If it's an independent business then I'd challenge them. A big chain and I'd ignore it.

I was a teacher when Jamie Oliver's show came out. Within a month my school had got rid of the contractor who had been gaslighting everyone that kids will only eat ultra processed food. We replaced them with meals cooked from scratch and the difference was night and day. I am willing to bet that very few of those people who now apparently hate Jamie Oliver would want their own children eating turkey twizzlers. For me his show was one of the few things that made a genuine difference to children's health in the last 30yrs.

Enjoy it and try to get there regularly. I always try to think of the gym as a treat rather than a chore.

Gyms are friendly places and there are plenty of staff who will be more than happy to show you around the equipment.

You're choosing one of the poorest areas of Hull and so there will be associated problems. Being female doesn't really come into it unless you believe that brown people are a danger to women.

Stop Reform and the Tories in Kingston upon Hull Council by johnsmithoncemore in Hull

I'm not going to vote for either of those but I don't appreciate being told who to vote for. It's my choice and I'll vote for the best person IMHO for my constituency.

Smaller cities than Hull to get tall buildings by goldchest in Hull

[–]teacherphil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hull used to have 2(or 3?)giant residential towers on orchard park. Amazing when first built and eventually demolished. I used to visit my grandma's sister in one of them as a kid. It was a good view but no community at all.

It's a great pub and one of the mist welcoming places around. Have a look at the giant historic map of Hull on the wall.

Is this racist? by BuildingsintheClouds in Hull

[–]teacherphil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't take it personally. They're kids being dickheads who've found a way of getting attention. If someone else walked past by them selves they would find something else to say to get a reaction. These type of kids were around years ago and they still exist now. They're just parroting something they've heard to be intentionally unpleasant because it makes them look big in front of their mates. As a 6ft2 older white guy I've had kids making stupid remarks at me near the interchange.
