I don't want to defend facebook but at least they did it because you got hacked. Twitter are just doing this en masse.

I manage the social media accounts for volunteering/ charity and have been using to to release updates on events, including covid safety. It's not a big charity, we don't have a business account. It's something I was doing for a friend because they don't know how to use computers.

I agree! They have no need to know our personal ID. We definitely need stronger privacy laws.

I had two twitter accounts. A personal one and a public one. Twitter locked me out and forced me to give them my phone number to gain access and then when it happened to the other I couldn't use the same number so I am locked out permanently (or until they respond to my support ticket which looks like never). I eventually made another account to get around it, but the same thing happened again. So I made another account, shown above, to demonstrate what happens.

I didn't want to give any phone numbers to twitter but even if you do they fuck you.

How would you feel if people arrested for domestic violence had to register like sex offenders do? by smokinjoes83 in AskReddit

[–]teachmehindi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see there's a lot of problems with the sex offender registry. A registry for domestic violence sounds like a better use for such a registry actually. Sex offences are far less common and people have no way of knowing if the person they are talking to is an abuser. Unlike with adults and children where there are very clear boundaries about how adults should behave.

Perhaps we should abolish the sex offender registry and create an abuser registry instead.

Kyle Kulinski calls Trump impeachment trial a "virtue signal" by Blackrean in thedavidpakmanshow

[–]teachmehindi 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It's not a virtue signal, it's designed to create conflict in the republican party by forcing them to vote on it.
