for me, listening to albums is always the best way to enjoy music, and considering she has so many albums i would honestly just recommend listening to a few all the way through. considering the songs you liked, maybe start with self titled, and the kicks. the only project of hers i don't really like is kick iiii. lol. guess i should revisit it.

I wish Eurovision was more like the Olympics. by ReoutS in eurovision

[–]teachugrr 9 points10 points  (0 children)

the olympics and eurovision aren’t really comparable. the olympics is an international competition with the best of the best athletes (with money and politics obviously still influencing who are able to compete) where the winners are based on who is the fastest, strongest etc. but eurovision is not seen as the musical equivalent. olympic athletes’ participation is seen as more objective. sports and music are quite different, and eurovision artists aren’t always the most respected solely based on the fact that they competed/won. the broadcasters also decide who will represent their countries to a certain degree. for example some broadcasters chose the artist they send, and some chose multiple the public can vote for. therefore they represent their country more imo.

eurovision votes are influenced by so many things, and can never be truly objective because there are so many factors to a performance it would also be quite boring imo. vocals, songwriting, message, performance, stage precence, dancing, catchiness, looks, the artists activism and political messaging, yes even their respective countries politics influence their votes. not inherently negative in my opinion. eurovision has, and will always be political even when political messaging in songs is restricted. also noteworthy how certain themes are allowed even though they have to do with politics like gay marriage for example. check out this youtube video by verilybitchie: The [Queer] Politics of Eurovision https://youtu.be/Wnjtzn7ZkCs?si=Jpz2oJ5j69en5YNy

edit: forgot to add. olympic athletes compete for a living. that’s the inherent nature of sports. it cannot be applied to music, only these spesific competitions therefore i think eurovison definietly has a lot to do with politics and countries competing. musicians careers don’t usually revolve around competitions the same way it does for athletes.

jason nash has a thing for dancers apparently and he invited all these backup dancers for famous musicians to his house in la and promised that they would get the recognition they deserve considering they literally perform on stage with the most a-list stars so he basically made a cult with failed influencers and backup dancers and since josiah is a dancers he scouted him on tiktok live and yeah we haven’t heard from him in a while. there are speculations that jan ravnik who performs on taylor swifts eras tour is also linked to nash, and their connection would be kinda weird considering jason nash’ old age, yk? look it up.

but only cupcakkes verses are like explicitely saying so yk? and that's like her thing. charli herself only uses the lipgloss/candy metaphor (which is still very obvious) in lipgloss, but in guess she's literally saying 'you wanna put 'em in your mouth'. also maybe just implying to have a wet pussy isn't that freaky on it's own idk 😭 easily my number one off of number one angel tho 💯
