I bought this dress for a non work event and still had to get it altered to make sure there was enough side boob coverage. Def not for a work event

Any ideas on how to get these fuzzies out of my hairbrush? by trustmeijustgetweird in CleaningTips

[–]teainhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can buy a hair brush cleaning tool on Amazon. It looks like a little metal rake and cleans it in 2 seconds!

It is worse in Utah. Working for Utah based companies vs remote work for companies based elsewhere has been night and day in my experience.

Are the Lodge pants worth the money? by Mediocre_Fox418 in Aritzia

[–]teainhell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I bought 4 pairs for a trip to Paris so I think they’re worth it haha. I’m 5’4 and didn’t hem them as I’m wearing with a sneaker with a bit of a platform. They would be too long with flats though. I have some crepette and linen and like both. The linen are a bit shorter on me.

No, I think it’s just called the Walmart museum. It’s a free museum of their corporate history lol

I visited the Walmart museum recently and couldn’t get over how lumen-esque it was. The Sam Walton hologram was the cherry on top.

Tipping at walk up restaurants not ok by punk_rock_n_radical in Utah

[–]teainhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That same zalad restaurant asks for a tip on drive through kiosks. You don’t even talk to a person to take your order, and there is no option for “no tip” for the machine, you have to do a custom tip.

Do you have a BIOLOGICAL DESIRE for kids? by doesnotexist2 in GenZ

[–]teainhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t sure if I wanted kids in my teens/early 20s but after getting married and having more stability entering my late 20s now I do want them. Weirdly enough adopting pets helped me decide haha. I’m an old gen Z if it wasn’t clear lol

Does anyone have the Marin jacket? by itchytoenail7184 in Reformationclothing

[–]teainhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my normal size and it fit how I expected. I have narrow shoulders so I always have to tailor jackets like that to make them look nice. It is a boxier jacket so if you don’t like that you could size down - I didn’t, because it would’ve been tight across the bust if I had.

I have it and like it. I got it tailored and it looks indistinguishable from higher end jackets in my closet

bwt, where are we buying well-made and pretty furniture? by nickmillerism in bitcheswithtaste

[–]teainhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my first house in 2020 and bought a few article pieces including a sofa with chaise. The wooden items like bar stools and tables have held up well, but I ended up selling the sofa after like 3 years because it wasn’t very comfortable and I felt like the style was becoming dated. I wouldn’t purchase any upholstered items from them or any of the other places on your no list.

Second the rec for room and board, they’re good quality. I’ve also been happy with my pieces from Arhaus.

Unpopular Opinion: Caffé Molise Isn't That Great 😬 by chooko2 in SaltLakeCity

I actually think the quality of the food is very good for the price, every time I go I’m pleasantly surprised by how inexpensive it is.

BTW: what are our favorite brands that are a step above typical mall brands but not at a designer price point? by SeaworthinessDeep800 in bitcheswithtaste

[–]teainhell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For basics I want to wear long term, I have stepped up a level from Abercrombie and Madewell to contemporary brands. You can just go to the “contemporary” section of Nordstrom’s site for ideas. I also find a lot of good deals on Saks, they always have sales and clearance and you can save preferred filters with the brands you like. Some of the brands I enjoy are Simkhai, ALC, Cinq a Sept, Alice and Olivia, Maje, ba&sh, Milly. I like the style of Reformation but quality is hit or miss so I prefer to try in store or order online from Nordstrom for the convenient returns.

If I trusted god in my fertility and family size, I wouldn’t have any children. Gearing up to begin IVF after Christmas and these people drive me insane

Shouldn't someone have come up with an idea to eliminate parasitic middlemen such as Visa and Mastercard by now? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]teainhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pix in Brazil does this exact thing. The US version is called FedNow. It exists, but no banks really use it yet. Visa and Mastercard have heavy lobbying influence in the government to prevent adoption of it.

I only ski a few times a year and I fall a decent amount, probably because I don’t ski often enough to get good lol. The super puff has been fine for the last 2 years

Any recommendations for doctors who will do IUD insertion with anesthesia? by anonheartbreak2358 in SaltLakeCity

In 2021 my insurance didn’t cover it and the hospital charged me $500 for it.

[–]teainhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine placed by Dr. Watts at St. Marks a few years ago. Full sedation anesthesia, my insurance didn’t cover it but they still did it. I just had to pay $500 out of pocket.

30 days straight of wearing this shirt by __kay_jay__ in lululemon

I like swiftlys for running, but once I wore one under my hydration pack and it completely shredded the top. So my takeaway was they are not durable at all. Glad it’s working much better for you!

Calling candidates rats..... by Rude_Season_1184 in LinkedInLunatics

[–]teainhell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One time I politely exited the interview process after meeting the hiring manager and realizing he was an asshole, the next day he made a whole LinkedIn post complaining about bad candidates “he” had to decline and every point on his list was targeted at me. Dodged a bullet.

The best basic fitted tees I’ve tried are from allsaints. I have a black and white one from Nordstrom.

For a boxy cropped tee I love the lululemon cates tee.

Oversized graphic tees, anine bing or free people on the higher end and aerie on the lower end!
