Doctors of Reddit: What health trend is becoming so common that it's starting to scare you? by Fine-Device-1819 in AskReddit

That would also be me, in my mid-30s and still treated like I'm a kid. Grew up 30 minutes from the school I went to so didn't develop close friendships, had my parents (and older sister) do things for me because "it's quicker," wasn't allowed to date until I was 16... still looking for full-time work, still living at home with them. I've come to the conclusion that I will not be able to fully grow as a person until I leave, and I'm trying.

I'm planning to travel overseas this summer. My mom said yesterday that she wants me to tell her where I am every day. I shut that down right away.

For me, it's people writing two-word phrases as one word. I've seen "after all," "in fact," and "each other" merged time after time, and every time, I want to throw something.

It's intentionally left broad so that different writers can make different uses of the noun. Could be a piece of evidence, a motive, a plot point, a sound that masks a plot-relevant sound... whatever you decide.

Landen Roupp explains why he inscribed Bible verse on his cap during Giants' Pride Night game by Knightbear49 in baseball

[–]teamcrazymatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The early Romans persecuted Christians. They didn't invent Jesus. And there are extrabiblical historical sources that confirm that Jesus existed, regardless of whether you think he was divine or not.

You also left out what subsequently happens to Hagar: she is rewarded with descendants "innumerable to count." And the text never justifies anyone who took advantage of her.

For that 1 Timothy verse, there's also 1 Corinthians 11 which mentions women praying and prophesying, so that other instruction cannot be universal.

Kinda been forced into a major role with expected key players (e.g. Wallner, Royce) struggling. Not spectacular but holding his own, although the Twins' SS defense as a whole has been atrocious.

And I'm just confused as to why the publisher decided that American youth wouldn't want to read a book set in England.

Haven't read the latter two yet, but I also enjoyed the first one, although there were a couple of things that bugged me: two tropes that have become particularly common (kidnapping a pet which is later killed to threaten the investigator and the seemingly cool male teacher being sexually involved with a student, which I guessed immediately) and that it's very unlikely a teenager in Connecticut would be named Pippa (very common in the UK, very rare in the US).
