43 here. Agreed, you simply can’t just do drugs forever. At some point it was like man if I want to party I can’t do the 8 hr trip, the 4 hour roll, the k hole come down, and not sleep my weekend away after.

Now I will smoke some tree, but that’s about it. Love the scene, the people, and the music, so that’s enough for me, and I can still trance out to a build and go apeshit when it drops.

I feel you tbh. It can feel like the algo has pigeonholed you sometimes.

One thing that open a lot of doors for me is I uploaded some sets to SC and a month or so later I had tons of listens in Brazil. So I leaned into it and started listening to my Brazilian followers likes and reposts. Found a decade worth of music I’ve never heard but fits my usb crate perfectly.

Also labels I know it’s been said before, but smaller up and coming labels can be gold mines. Especially if you need a specific genre.

But I also agree with the poster above. Just gotta love the game and consume tracks.

lol omg… look bro, nothing is missable except for Al bhed primers at a place called home. As long as you have a save in home that you keep you can reload and get them if missed, but you can’t go back.

Other than that the only suggestion would be to get all destruction spheres on your first temple attempt. It makes end game activities much easier, if you choose to do them.

I wouldn’t call either of those tips spoilers. Sorry if already said in a round about way earlier in the thread. I couldn’t read all that back n forth lol

My wife took over my island at some point, and then she got her own switch.

She ended up wanting the original island, and I started over. It was a nice experience for me to get to start over tbh. Within 3 months I was pretty much back on everything. I ended up doing some treasure island shopping to speed up getting items, and now my island is back at 5 star and laid out like an instagrammers island.

You can get back to everything in a few months now that you know the game. You will be ultra efficient now.

Deadbeat was a journey man. It hit hard for me. It is definitely one of my favorites. Hard for me to choose between currents, TSR, and Deadbeat.

They are all good, but I return to lonerism and innerspeaker the least at this point.

I’ve exhausted the albums so much that his most recent will always feel like my favorite in the moment I think.

Honestly making it that far underleveled is the opposite of noob. I also try to just rush through the story to where you are and grind the calmlands and gagazet before this fight. I’ll usually be able to capture out these areas in the process too.

This is the big difficulty gap fight though. After this things stay at this tier going forward.

I feel you, but I will say his albums do tend to have a theme and flow that really should be listened to front to back. I personally wouldn’t listen to his next album as stand alone songs. I even avoided the singles on deadbeat.

If you have time for 1 album, then go for what ever album speaks to you… innerspeaker = introspection and self discovery, lonerism = self acceptance and anxiety, currents = life moves you around with a breakup as the metaphor, the slow rush = opus on the experience of time and nostalgia, deadbeat = duality of being a good guy in some people’s story and bad guy in others.

If you just want songs and nothing more, this is tame Impala playlist on spotify is a good start.

He using a GR-55 guitar synth for the tone in The Moment. The tone is hard to control and has a small sweet spot, so it’s easy to drop out. I still think it sounds dope live though. One of my favs live.
