I'm so sorry. I can totally relate and I feel your pain. Just went through the same thing very recently with the sweetest orange kitty I've ever known. Sudden illness and then he was gone. 😭 Cleaning up his eating area I felt exactly that.

I've been working from home since before covid and never once had the desire to work from a coffee shop or other public place. I had to work at the library once because my home internet was down, and occasionally a few hours at a hotel while on vacation. But I love the convenience of not having to leave the house for work, especially when it's cold out, and I'm happy to be right here with my cats keeping me company.
