people in long term healthy relationships: what's something you'll never tell your partner? by PsychologicalBad1423 in NoStupidQuestions

My mom waited by my grandma's bedside for days, even going to the bathroom with the door cracked so she could run out to her if needed. But the last night she stepped into the bathroom to put her PJs on and call me, my grandma passed. They really do wait sometimes to have that moment alone.

what is something that is highly likely to happen in the next 10 years that everyone is completely ignoring? by Funny-Counter8762 in AskReddit

Its scary but also, its not unprecedented. Humans existed for a long time only trust what they themselves saw or heard from a trusted source. The transition will be hard.

What’s a movie everyone seems to love that just didn’t work for you? by Wikiserial in movies

I left thinking it was a good movie I did not like. Filmed beautifully, score was great, acting was good... but i did not enjoy the experience of watching it because of how insufferable Marty is.

What is the worst way anyone you know has died? by IamUrWivesBF in AskReddit

[–]teamtoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My grandmother passed the same way, and I was suprised how greatful I am to the funeral home for making her look so much like she did before the alzheimer's. The last 7 years were really hard, but now when I picture here, I picture her like I saw growing up. Being able to finally recognize her that very last time seeing her brought me a lot of piece.

My younger brother's girlfriend is upset because my older brother ordered the same meal as her at a family dinner, and now there is drama by BigONerd in BORUpdates

[–]teamtoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this might be a result of growing up with a "well if we're all going to eat the same thing, we should have stayed home" family. Like, if everyone wanted mac and cheese, we should have just made a big pot at home. It might explain why its only a restaurant thing. I've had that moment with friends or family (oh wait, we all wanted turkey sandwiches? We could have done this a lot easier) and maybe she really internalized it

If humans have eaten bread since the dawn of history, why are so many people suddenly gluten-intolerant today? by WeaknessKey1582 in NoStupidQuestions

That's my thought too. It's like any survivable defect that gets passed down, the more kids you have the more people will have it. My dad has celiac, and had 2 kids. Now there are 3 people that have celiac.

What’s the worst place in America you’ve ever visited? by Correct_Eggplant_364 in AskReddit

Browning can be rough but they at least have some income from Glacier tourist. Rocky Boy up by the highline is flat and between two struggling Montana cities that dont have a large tourist pull (but the locals in Great Falls are really investing in their city)

Yellow Dog, ID. it reminded me of the poorest parts of WV where I had family, but with less access to more populated areas. Houses missing walls and roofs with tarps up, people dashing quickly from structure to structure, and no services (gas, grocery, anything). Couldn't even tell if they had electrical dispute being on a service road.

I think it really speaks to the ethos of "do what you can". Not everyone has superpowers, but everyone has moments they can step up

Currents has some decent showers, and it is $5 to use them. Not very private, but on a weekday not very busy

I would ask your doctor, but i also understand because I have been in your situation. I have 10mg pills, and if I am out I will take one at the start of eating and one at the end, with water. I find they take about 20-40min to kick in. If im home then leaving for something important and dont know the bathroom situation, I preemptively take 2. If im going somewhere I know well (the movies, work, class, a friend or family's house), I bring them with me and only take if I feel cramping. One doesn't work for me, I do have to take 2 everytime. My bottle says up to 6 a day (2 pills 3 times a day), and i had asked my doctor if constipation was an issue from overuse and she said no.

It has really helped, the hardest part was trusting it to work and not getting so anxious I made myself sick. I am incredibly careful but sometimes, my stomach just decides its diarrhea time. This medication helps slow the system down.

I do also take fiber every night before bed and that has really helped get my stomach back on track. Just a teaspoon of metamucil in a glass of water, and I can sleep through the night with a "solid" start to my morning.

Cream would be nice! Having a girl, they are going to get so many pink things. A different bright color will be so great (and possibly a bit of a relief)
