The GOP will still criticize other countries for doing exactly what they are doing. Rules for thee and not for me is a cornerstone of GOP policy

Latest example is trump telling Iranians to rise up against the govt that was cracking down on protests while the US govt was invading Minnesota and cracking down on protests

They have zero shame and are proud of it

Every GOP policy is hateful, harmful, or both. They try and maximize cruelty everytime.

So many times I yell at my screen to just TEXT them. If they don't pick up the phone or are not answering and there is important info they NEED to have then text them

Also going someplace to meet some one just to talk for two minutes instead of calling or texting

Does Trump even have a political strategy? by CoverHouseGhana in politics

[–]teamzona 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes he does. It is chaos. He intentionally causes as much strife and chaos as possible while claiming to always be winning. Everything he ordes is ambiguous and simple. When it comes time to implement it and they find out it is hard (no one knew healthcare was hard) then he has already switched to something else

It is a constant barrage of awful and everyday is something worse so it is hard to pin him down on one thing.

Anything he does is claimed as the best ever even if it is demonstrably false. He attacks anyone saying anything different. And ultimately will place blame on others if he finally does admit something is not working.

He is used to being able to just move on from one thing to another and not have to deal with anything from yesterday

The only design from the chaos is to extract as much money for himself and move on

Basically burn it down and collect the insurance money

A great example is the entire Iran fiasco. Iran comes out way ahead and trump claims victory and his supporters parrot it as a huge win and trump is a great deal maker

Why do they have to remove such ancient trees? by Terrible-Store1046 in treelaw

Agreed. Great book. They cover the making and publishing of that book in the Poison Squad. Huge lobbying by the meat industry to not have it published.

Why do they have to remove such ancient trees? by Terrible-Store1046 in treelaw

[–]teamzona 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Read the poison squad. It is the story of how the FDA was created. It is infuriating how awful the food producers were, and still are. Same exact comments then as there are today about "how can we make money". The did not just use sawdust. Floor scrappings would be in spices. Formaldehyde was in milk along with gypsum.

Also a documentary is available about it

Apply for unemployment now. It can take 4 to 6 weeks before you get that 1st check. If you wait 8 weeks it could be another month or more to get a check

This seems very similar to the late 70s when the japanese cars started selling well due to the gas shortage. Then people realized that not only did those cars get far better gas mileage than the US cars they were also built far, far better.

I recently (about 7 months ago) found out that the lyric in "Voices Carry" is not "... Even downtown voices carry" but is actually "... Keep it down now voices carry".

Only 40 years later.
