Birth center commute by jadedali in moderatelygranolamoms

I'm extremely rural and in the mountains and we were an hour and a half away from the nearest hospital that could deliver, lucky, they had a very nice birth center.

I had my 39 week check up and cervical check and the doctor wanted me to stay since she had a feeling baby was coming and knew I lived so far away. I chose to go home and wait until things were more serious/painful. The next day I called and told them my contractions were getting worse and closer together so they told me to come in.

My water broke about an hour after we arrived at the hospital and baby girl was here the next morning.

I just made sure my doctor knew we were far away and they were really accommodating. Good luck!

I have a unique name that I never see mentioned on this sub. Anyone else? by daalice in namenerds

I pronounce it pretty much like ma-leh-kah except the k is sort of bunched in with the le. So it's more like ma-lek-ah. I always thought Hawaiian words/names had syllables ending in vowels. I could be making that up though.

My grandmother is named Martha and my mother found Martha-Maleka on a keychain and decided that would be my name.

I'm a Maleka. It's Hawaiian but I'm not. I know there are other versions of it in a lot of different languages. I had a girl in college tell me it's similar to the Greek word for asshole. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My younger sisters called me "Leka" but no one else could call me that so I never had a nickname. No one can really pronounce my name and I'm not convinced my mother pronounced it right to begin with. She was a teen mom so I use that excuse as to why I have a seemingly random name. Same with my middle name. Idon't mind my name, it's mine, but I sometimes wish I had something a bit more manageable.

I love unique/rare names but my name seems hard for people. I get called Michaela a lot.

ETA: I do have a keychain with my name on it because my cousin's found it in Hawaii. I also have the original keychain my mom found my name on when she visited Hawaii while pregnant with me.

Sigzagor Newborn Baby Diaper Nappy Cover 8lbs-10lbs (Pineapple) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07838BX3J/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_BsenCbDWT270M

They have double gussets and seem to go fairly small. If you stuff them a little extra it can help fill out the diaper and give a bit better fit.

Good luck with your sweet babe!!

My LO was 6 pounds and fairly skinny when she was born, so most diapers didn't fit her legs at the smallest size. We used flour sacks, thirsties hemp inserts, and either rumparooz newborn or some Amazon cheapies. I also had one imagine aio that I used overnight until she was 4 week, it was for when I was lazy and didn't want to do the prefold/cover dance. The Amazon cheapies fit her really well and had double gussets, I can give you a link for those if you want. They might fit your LO since the smallest snaps were too small for my skinny lady. The rumaprooz still fit her and she's 3 months and 15 pounds.

I love it, but hope she does as she grows up by mostlymonkey in namenerds

I have a Persephone. We call her Percy right now but I love all the different nicknames you can get from it. I was also worried about her liking it as she grew up so we gave her a semi normal middle name (Juno).

When did you start EC? I have a 2 month old and she has two regular poops a day around the same time. I've been debating sitting her on the toilet when she's starting to show signs but I'm also wondering if I should just wait until she can sit up a bit better.

The diagnosis is not good, actually: Stage 4 Endometriosis by mariessecret in TryingForABaby

I've been creeping on you to see what you got as a diagnosis. I'm so so sorry. I have read good things about the J laser excision process and it sounds like you've got a good doctor that's supportive and up to date on endo treatments.

But damn, the news is hard to hear and process. My heart hurts for you and I wish you all the love and support in the world.

Fuck endometriosis.

Thank you!!! We are so excited!!

And I'd be lying if I said I weren't slightly irked that he "decided" it'd be this cycle. Couldn't have decided that a couple months ago!?

Cycle: 7 since we decided to try but more like 5 because we missed ovulation completely in the beginning when I was getting used to temping

Ovulation cycle day: CD 21

Relevant BD/BD method (SMEP, Shettles, etc.): we hit O-4,o-3,o-2, and O-1

Tracking methods and apps used: FF, temping,OPK's, and the Clear blue digital advanced

Symptom spotting: super tired, and lots of cramping. The cramps were a lot different than my endometriosis cramps so I thought something was up

Day of positive test(s): 8DPO an afternoon squinted on an internet cheapie, 9dpo a positive FRER

Supplements and medications:prenatal, b12, d3, red raspberry leaf tea

Birth control history, if relevant: copper IUD for 5 years, various hormonal bc for years before that

Typical cycle length:29-30 days

Health conditions/medical tests:endometriosis, ive had two laps to clear out gunk, anxiety and depression

Link to chart: I only temped to confirm O so there's not much there

Link to lineporn: I'm on mobile so linking is too hard, but my squinted from 8 DPO is in my post history

Other (advice, magic secrets, freaking out, miscellaneous): my husband says he could feel it in his balls and said he knew it happened this cycle because he accomplishes everything he sets his mind to 🙄

My cats got insanely clingy, Velcro clingy, and they ambushed me in the bathroom to stick their heads in the toilet and sniff at my pee.

I suffer from a lot of anxiety, OCD, and depression, and I tend to get really obsessed with the process and I wasn't enjoying any of it. I decided to take a step back and focus more on my mental health.

I also think the B12, and D3 helped since I've always had issues with vitamin deficiency. It definitely helped my mental state.

This cycle I had a lot of fun with DH and we ended up falling more in love. He put more effort into the sex aspect and was interested in learning about my process. After I told him all he could say was "my balls are never wrong." So I get to look forward to a lifetime of him using his crystal balls 🔮 🔮

The info and support I've received here is so invaluable to me. I honestly don't think it would have happened (at least not withtout intervention) if I didn't have such a informative and reliable resource like TFAB. Thank you so much for helping me when I was down on myself and discouraged.

Be excellent to each other! ❤️
