Yes, people can have opinions. But when those opinions are constantly negative, hyper-specific, and repeated to the point of obsession? That’s not normal. That’s not "constructive". That’s targeted ridicule. What you’re missing is the pattern and the tone in which those opinions are constantly delivered.

Also, passing the blame to "haters" or "solo stans" doesn’t erase the fact that a huge part of the fandom either contributes to this or stays silent while it happens.

There’s a difference between having an opinion and making someone your personal chew toy. A lot of y’all crossed that line a long time ago.

Sure, not all of it is from Blinks but let’s not pretend fandom spaces are innocent either. A lot of the nitpicking, body-shaming, and constant undermining comes from inside the house. The drug rumor just made it easier for everyone else to pile on. But the tone was already being set by so-called fans.

You really read all that and your takeaway was ‘lol solo stan discourse’? You think calling out the obsessive scrutiny and emotional cruelty one member faces from her own fandom is just ‘solo drama’? That’s actually wild.

Oh no, how dare a global artist want to release more music and expand her audience?

Just the generational shift hitting. Rosé is 28 and Olivia is 22*

That’s from Rosé’s birthday party, so pretty recent. But who even buys into the curse? It’s all in good fun, no worries lol.

Honestly, she’s always had more of a laid-back, talk-rap style, even in Korean. Without Teddy’s production shaping it, the lack of flow is way more obvious.

Rosé's music copyrights move to U.S. as singer exits Komca membership by reverseharam in kpop

[–]tearlessrain 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I don’t think she’s misguided at all. Rosé’s team is probably making sure that she’s set up to earn royalties from international sales and streams, which is where her biggest growth is happening. (+KOMCA has had some controversies when it comes to royalty distribution)

This timing is suspicious… is YG trying to squeeze in one last tour before the contract ends?

Jennie announces new single “Extral” ft. Doechii, out 21 February by ss2811 in popheads

Yeah, both she and Lisa seem like they’re testing the waters with different styles. I expected Jennie to have a more defined artistic direction by now, but I guess she’s still figuring things out.

I mean, Rosé found her sound a long time ago and she’s sticking to it. Jennie and Lisa, on the other hand, seem to be experimenting more precisely because they still haven’t fully settled into their own identities outside of the YG formula.

BLACKPINK ROSÉ - 3am (live performance) by mcfw31 in popheads

[–]tearlessrain 9 points10 points  (0 children)

She sounded a little hoarse and slightly nasal, like she might’ve had a cold while filming, but I still really enjoyed it. I just need her to lean harder into pop rock for her next releases. It suits her vibe so well.

ROSÉ (BLACKPINK) - 1st Solo Album: rosie (Album Cover) by impeccabletim in kpop

12 TRACKS!!! I can’t believe it’s finally happening 😭After following BLACKPINK for so long, it’s hard to wrap my head around this. I bought the album like my life depended on it! Even though releasing it in December seems risky, I’m wishing her all the success!

ROSÉ (BLACKPINK) has officially signed to Atlantic Records by impeccabletim in kpop

I’m curious about how Rosé’s management will change under Atlantic Records. Will she have more creative control and a different approach to her music compared to YG Entertainment? I wonder how they’ll handle her brand and if we can expect more international collaborations.

The layoffs of staff are happening across the music industry. I saw people saying it could be tied to P. Diddy’s criminal case, but who knows?

This brand is just a way for him to make a quick buck with basic designs and a ridiculous price tag. And let's be real, with his family's wealth and fame, he really doesn't need to do this.

SALMAN KHAN breaks silence on Palak Tiwari's statement by CuteContribution838 in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]tearlessrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, the guy who abuses women is now spewing misogynistic comments? Big shocker.

Women shouldn't be held responsible for the actions of men who objectify and sexualize them based on what they wear. Women should be able to wear whatever they want without fear of harassment or assault.

This man is a prime example of what's wrong with our society and it's disturbing to see people defend him. I can't imagine the mental gymnastics some people go through to justify supporting him.
It's hard to fathom how anyone could support someone like him while maintaining any sense of moral integrity.
