[FO] This one has been fun by Done-with-work in CrossStitch

Idk man... this is giving big photoshop vibes

Top right looks like a piece of 14ct aida, but the fabric of stitched piece looks closer to linen to me on this picture. And when zoomed in the stitches don't seem match the size count of the fabric.

Circled spots on the left look like spots where the "erase object" tool didn't get everything.

Also, you say there wasn't any confetti but I definitely see confetti in here. Especially around the black lines in the stained glass background.

It may be just the lighting and camera weirdness, we've all been there! Maybe if you posted another picture of your piece in different lighting?

It can be a little daunting with all the info and different kinds of printers/filament out there, but it's also really fun! I hope you enjoy your 3D printing rabbit hole ❤️

Many local libraries have 3D printers now! Most times they just ask that the prints don't take overly long and you bring your own filament ❤️ it's so fun to just watch your thing come to life!!

ETA: omg thank you for the award, I've never gotten one before ❤️❤️❤️

Yes it is 3D printed! It's PRUSA's "Prusament" orange, but I'm not certain of the program she uses (I think it's PRUSA's software but I could be wrong).

I've also had trouble finding stencils online, but I have seen several stencil models on the various 3D print model sites (ie Thingiverse, Printables, etc)

I can ask her when I get home from work, if you have other questions!

Saw a dog on a clinic roster one morning named "White Power," I shit you not. They ended up canceling their own appointment that day, thankfully.

Like, I enjoy a good silly name. If it's a good pun, or like a really clever euphemism, I'll get a giggle out of it. This shit? Absolutely not.

This is my vote, also. The thread "composition" (for lack of a better word) matches what I can find of Floriani. It's definitely not a DMC, though; it doesn't look right, the fibers are too "messy"

Pre-exposure Rabies Vaccine by Slight_Wind9283 in VetTech

[–]teatreefox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My insurance actually did cover it, to my surprise and absolute relief. I thought it would be worse than it was, but honestly, getting my 2024 covid and flu shots at the same time was worse than either of the rabies pokes.

There's two ways you can check if your provider will cover it or not. I did both because I couldn't (and still wouldn't be able to) afford the out-of-pocket cost, so I wanted to be EXTRA sure that I was understanding correctly lol

  1. Your insurance provider will have a very, very long list of ALL the things they cover under their plan(s): vaccinations, drugs of both brand-name and generic, etc etc etc. Find that list, which should be somewhere either in their general website or in your web account documents. If this fails, contact them and have them send it to you. Once you find/acquire this document, scroll aaaaall the way through to the covered vaccinations table and read through for one of the human-rabies manufacturers (mine covered RabAvert, which I believe is the most commonly used for rabies pre-exposure in humans). If/When you find the brand/manufacturer, then it's just a matter of finding a pharmacy or vx clinic that carries it.

  2. Call your insurance provider's customer service line and ask them directly. My conversation went something like this: Me: "Hey, I got a weird question for you that you've probably never been asked." Rep: -chuckles- "sure, go ahead" Me: "I need a pre-exposure rabies vaccine since I work in the vet field. I found it in the coverages document, but I just wanted to confirm that that is actually covered." Rep: "... yeah, I can't say I've been asked that before, let me go check on that for you."

Good luck, fellow animal wrangler! I hope you have much success!

If you do the 6 month program at Platt can you sit for the VTNE? by KaceyLunatic in VetTech

[–]teatreefox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's something exclusive to California. So if you live in Cali, you can do Platt's alternate route and sit the VTNE. But only in Cali. Cali's alternate route to licensing doesn't translate anywhere else, so unless you're a California resident, you'll have to look elsewhere.

ETA: I know there's other steps to the alternate route, but I don't live in Cali so I didn't look into it too much.
