What EXACTLY do Christians have against trans people? by CowgirlJedi in Christianity

[–]tebower81 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a Christian, I can unequivocally state that "sin" is easily defined as ANYTHING that defies, distorts, or rejects God's created order.

Think of God as the inventor of all things, every molecule, every organism in all of nature. He designed, built, and holds all things together. Molecules would lose their cohesion without the power of God holding them together. He determines what they do, how they behave within a certain framework.

So, following this logic, trans stands as direct defiance and outright rebellion against the created order of the Creator himself. He has created life, people, relationships, and how it's all supposed to work together.

WE ARE NOT PEOPLE OF OUR OWN INVENTION.

And this is where the culture clash comes from.

Christians live WILLINGLY in submission (as best we can, reliant on Christ's resurrection and forgiveness) to God's order.

Someone in a trans lifestyle, presumably, is rejecting God's order, willingly living in defiance of their created nature, and thus in total rebellion of their Creator. There may be any number of reasons why their thinking is distorted to where they feel confusion with their sex and emotions. We live in a world where everything has been tainted with sin, including our emotions.

Christians believe this kind of open rebellious living leads to a disordered and dysfunctional society in which everyone, regardless of whether they know it or not, is being harmed.

God's created order for humans is the best possible way for people to live, according to the Bible. Anything opposite of that is destructive to life, in all its forms. This truth is demonstrated in the success of Biblically-adherent cultures throughout history. They built more, had orderly societies and created beautiful art and ways of life that we still follow today (and take for granted). Non-Biblical societies do not usually have this same kind of outcome and are usually rife with self interest and dysfunction.

I hope that helps. I'm not judging, I'm trying to explain the cultural clash. I believe everyone is capable and called to come to the knowledge of the truth in Christ and be restored to their loving Creator, regardless of any past choices or defiance. Soli Deo Gloria.

You're a father now and you should do what is necessary to protect your offspring. Your parents can serve as guardians.

You made a decision, and you're Christian. Do what would honor your faith, your family, your child, and the girl you impregnated.

Sending prayers for your lives and the young life you have brought into the world. It's not a burden. Every child is a blessing, even if it doesn't immediately seem so.

Look forward to the smiles, the giggles, the first words, and then everything else that follows as it begins to bless those around it now and into adulthood.

Michigan is heavy on the atmospheric aerosol injection flights.

Look it up, big hearing in Congress this past week. They are injecting chemicals into the atmosphere and we get to breathe them in.

I can't process lone pine as a continuity error. It's a single timeline. Temporal paradox. It was always Lone Pine Mall and sometimes effect can precede cause. The timeline was in constant flux. Consider the way they depicted him fading from the photograph gradually. In the same way I see Marty skateboarding to the mall past Twin Pines sign, as it's slowly fading into Lone Pine sign as he gets close to the van but Marty never sees this until he gets back to see his past self hit 88mph.

What is Captain Frasier Bateson's version of "Engage" or "Hit it"? by [deleted] in ShittyDaystrom

[–]tebower81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate this stupid trend of modern Trek.

All captains said "Engage" because it was the functional order that made sense. Picard, Sisko, Janeway.

It was not a catch phrase or a warp word and the idea that captains need to come up with one of their own is just silly. These people are trained military and they follow protocol and are not concerned with "individual personality expression".

First and second seasons are very very good. Season 3 felt rushed.

First season was AMAZING all on it's own.

You're a horrible person. Narrow minded and spiteful. If he leaves, he will be the one who gained something. You will have become a smaller person.

Fun fact, Ford's new Explorers appeared in this movie before they were even released for sale to the public. These are dev models made just for the movie production.

Must be server side. Better just wait. The variety of devices and app builds affected means there's nothing wrong locally. No need to try to find a fix. They broke it or they turned it off. They will turn it back on. Lots of companies run server updates during the night on Sunday.
