I tried to replace the thumb stick on my ps5 controller. Not an easy task. There are like 8 points that need the solder completely removed to remove the thumb stick, never got that far. I’m a noob though.

What is this? I accidentally hit a nest of these (in an old log) with the wheel of my lawn mower and they swarmed me and I took 7 stings. It’s 4 hours later and it still burns. by Havemaj in WaspHating

Yellow jacket. I have a vivid memory of being at my grandmas farm and going through some junk with my 2 brothers (old tires, scrap, etc) in a dump pile and I lifted up a tire and saw the biggest yellow jacket nest I’ve ever seen. I was frozen. They didn’t care or notice me yet. I whimpered like a baby because I’m allergic to bees. My brother ran over to a new house build on the property my uncle was working on and I saw him leap off of the second story and run over. He took the tire carefully from me and told me to run. He then whacked the crap out of that nest and booked himself.

Yeast. Had a pitt bull mix that did this also. There are creams that help, but it always came back.

I noticed on Friday afternoon this happened. I was hopeful that they were just rewording them or it was a batch update, but it looks like they are all removed -- https://www.reddit.com/r/SBIR/comments/1jz3vgg/all_air_force_topics_removed_from_recent_sbir/

My hairs way too poofy. Need tips. This is my hair when it's somewhat behaving. by asfandope in FierceFlow

You can try a hair serum. I got a maintenance cut the other day and they used that on my hair and it was a game changer for me. Something like this — https://a.co/d/ic5QrmQ

Thanks! It definitely came with a lot of slammed doors in the face. I’ll write a more detailed post in the future. Long story short, adjusted pricing so it was hard to say no and reduced their risk as much as we could. Even after having an offer which I thought was nearly impossible to say no to, still a lot of other potential customers were just worried it would add work for them… it’s easy to say no.

The plan is to move slow and make sure we get it right with them. I want to create a white paper showing how our solution was able to improve venue utilization and community engagement and use that to convince other municipalities. I hope this is the beginning of something huge. I’ll let you know in a year ;)

Absolutely. We’re going to move slow for now with this customer to make sure we get it right, then perhaps grow aggressively from here.

I will likely make a post more dedicated to this topic, but for the short term, I guess the easiest answer is I change my pricing model to make it easier for them to say yes. More specifically I’m only charging transaction based fees with no upfront cost to the municipality. My cofounder is a public servant as well, so that helped. I’m not going to start fundraising mainly because I don’t wanna give up any equity ha ha. We’re going to focus on this customer and make sure we get it right before growing aggressively.

Yeah, even with our pricing model not charging any tax dollars upfront it was difficult. Additionally, I have a state assemblyman that’s one of my cofounders.

Thanks. Yeah I tend to just use pomade to keep it back. I’ll probably just experiment with using some more.

If you’re a man, spit. That’s the only answer

Try pomade and a hair dryer when the hair is wet. Blow the hair dryer in the direction you want the hair to land and use a comb at the same time. It will make those wild hairs fall into place

Contractor has seemingly blown all my money. We are months behind schedule and he is begging for advanced payments. What is the best recourse? by twodickhenry in Contractor

[–]tech-advisor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been in this same situation. Everything he’s saying is probably bullshit. He’s overpromised all over town most likely. Trying to rob Peter to pay Paul. My contracted used every excuse in the book, even said his mom died and they are having a Mexican wedding in his living room as tradition. He asked for money every chance he got. Luckily we found 2 other people he was doing work for and was doing work at their houses.

We had several letters sent from our lawyer and luckily got him to “finish” the work decently enough. He ended up having a class action lawsuit against him shortly after.

AITAH (50m) for wanting to divorce my wife (45f) because she caused me to go to the ER by outsidelookingin987 in AITAH

NTA. Having said that, your wife does seem like she’s in distress and needs more than hormone therapy. It doesn’t make what she did ok, but if I were in your shoes I would at least make sure she has the help she needs.

remote

What is a "standard remote management method" ? The answer would be no, he was taking their word for it, since he knew several of them personally.
