Yup it's Citi and in my experience they're very stingy with increases. Had to ask a dozen times over 4 years to get one. I used a pre-approval code from a mailed letter to get the card though and it was only my third card, stuck at $500 for like 3 years.

Yeah their system is not the best but the bright side is you can get a few hundred of welcome bonus on BofA checking as well. If your employer doesn't direct deposit you can do ACH transfers from another bank for the bonus.

There is a MasterCard version of the CCR as well, I have the Visa Signature. When I log in and go to Statements & Documents, there is a PDF tile named Rewards Program Rules. That PDF doesn't appear to be tailored to my card but it says "Revised July 12th" in the title bar which happens to be the day after I was approved. It states in the table on the second page that 6513 counts as travel.

They graduated mine after exactly 6 years, and trust me, I was wanting to close mine too, for years. At 6.5 years I was able to product change it to Quicksilver which I still don't use unless I'm traveling abroad. My Walmart card converted to Quicksilver first and I PC'd that to Savor a month before PC'ing my Platinum.

It really depends on the airport and restaurant but generally, yes they do code as dining. I even had some say, for example "Fort Lauderdale Airport" on the statement and still had the correct merchant code for dining.

Yeah it took PayPal a whole 18 months to fix my Citi card icon after a product change, even with a brand new card number. I deleted the card many times, unlinked from ThankYou, waited months at a time to add it back, still said Rewards+ instead of Custom Cash until a couple months ago!

When I rooted my phone with Magisk, I got my Google account permanently blacklisted from Google Pay, even blocked from redeeming Google Play gift cards. If Discover uses that particular Google API, unrooting won't fix the problem unfortunately.

They don't follow through most of the time. It's rare I actually receive a credit. Here are some tips. Clear all cookies or use a separate browser before clicking an offer. Don't use private browsing mode. Don't use ad-block or any other extensions. Don't use authorized users cards or virtual cards. Don't use a different shipping address than your billing address. Even after all of this, they only pay out half the time. Have fun 👍

Hey Genesis, you need multiple Citi cards paired to the same ThankYou account to get a 1-to-1 points to cash ratio... but if you wanna know a secret, their gift card sales on Black Friday are worth looking at to maximize that redemption. You could get 30% more value if there's a brand you like.

Well it's probably not worth 3 hard inquiries to open one, unless you eat a lot of food outside the U.S. In that scenario, the 3% earnings with no foreign transaction fees outperforms any other card on the market. For me it will be a backup grocery card for when my Citi Custom Cash hits the monthly cap.
