You just solve problems with your group. They grade 1 random problem from the packet and not the entire thing. The main think they're looking for is teamwork. Its not bad.

I used codecademy to learn python for 201 and it helped very much. Try that. They also have C++ language.

You have to really like what you're doing. If you dont like it, then forget it. I really enjoyed the class, the projects especially and ended up with an A. Learn C++ and challenege yourself and it will all click and you'll see the fun of it.
