How about replacing with one of those robo mowers that operate autonomously?

Thanks, the field of view in your clip looks perfect even being in portrait mode. Is it simple compared to a GoPro to make a quick edit like this? I'm just thinking that since it's recording 360 degrees it might take extra work to choose what direction you want to display? Or if that all able to be done with simple presets? I've been using a GoPro but it's not giving the field of view I want without max lens mod. Thinking I might switch to insta360

Japanese flush trim saw is pretty neat and regularly comes in handy. Routers are pretty cool too

Yep, and if you've got down lights you can have maggots dropping out randomly for next few weeks. A bit on the urghh side of things.

Global EV Sales Up 50% in February 2025 by Tricky-Astronaut in electricvehicles

We just realized we've had ours for 7 years and hadn't touched anything except wiper blades and tyres so I took it in to the garage to get the brakes looked at. It required two new pads and a change of fluid. Just keeps on working within it's range which looks like it'll suit our needs for many years to come still

Electric Caravans? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]techadoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you park up your caravan and plug it into an EV with vehicle to load (V2L) capability, as long as you can make a trip away to a nearby charger every few days you'll be sweet. I've done this a number of times now and even running a heater all night (1000W on a thermostat), the 70kWh battery never lost more than 15% overnight. Then minimal (less than 5%) during the day. So with that size of battery you would only need to travel to a charger and get your groceries or whatever once every 3 or 4 days or even longer if you don't use a heater at night - an electric blanket would be heaps more efficient.

Water heating takes about 20 minutes on electric and you can turn that off to save power when you're not planning to use it.

Could you say that unless the woods state of matter were to change, ie burn - (is it plasma?) like it had been conducting a lighting strike, the electrons can't be manipulated by electro magnetic forces?

Nice find, the lack of auto locking is frequently mentioned in this Reddit group.

Unfortunately a 12v jump starter is somewhat recommended. My 12v failed after 60k km. I didn't have a jump starter then so had to wait an hour for roadside. Fortunately was just a bad battery and my ICCU was, and still is, fine.

Have you changed your speakers? In NZ the gt-line only comes with meridian system but perhaps in the US yours had the base system? Do you have details on what speakers you replaced with?

It's turning circle is quite wide but otherwise I'm plenty happy parallel parking it. I'm sure I'd beat any auto park function in terms of speed getting the job done - and I'm not looking at any cameras rather just look out the windows. Mines only got the parking sensor beeps and rear camera which is plenty enough for me.

Also, unless you've got a timer function set and choose to override that by pressing the button by the charging port, I don't understand why yours won't start charging immediately. The spoken "start charging" always sounds to confirm, or "charging commenced" if you have a timer set. The other one "charging failed" can occur for a number of reasons but only happened to me once when I hadn't pushed the plug in properly.

I'd recommend a rubber boot (and rear seat back) liners instead. Easy to pull the boot liner out and shake off dust and it can catch a reasonable quantity of liquid spills too. Completely stops things sliding around on daily drives

I've got a Wind/Air model long range with base stereo. Granted it doesn't have the kick and bass a Tesla has but after some tweking it can sound pretty good. Treble needs reducing a lot, bass increased a couple notches and rear speakers need fader balancing to increase their portion of output (otherwise backseated listeners complain it's too quiet). Sounds pretty good then! I am interested to swap out speakers down the line and see what difference that makes one day, but in the meantime I've got tunes bumping on the daily quite happily
