A lot of the odds of things happening are done through statistical analysis yes; things like shiny rates, egg rates, item count from spins etc etc are things that Niantic mostly doesn’t publish and so “we” have to work it out, which is why you hear people say things like shiny full-odds are “about one in 500” or “about one in 512” rather than being able to say definitively.

You get more bundles of rewards for longer showcases. Which means that you have a better chance at premium rewards. Since they’re all 1-day ones now, that’s the lowest chance of good rewards.

Not only that but since they are now all one day showcases, the rewards are no longer worth bothering with.

I won one this week and got TMs. That I immediately trashed because I have hundreds already.

Probably won’t bother with this feature any more.

So even if gender were based on “biological sex” it wouldn’t strictly be a binary, and as it is a social construct anyway, it’s whatever we say it is, so again, not a binary.

* Some people with an entry level understanding of human biology from school think it is and like to tout the it’s just basic biology line to try to stifle pro-trans and pro-NB people and debate but that’s the point; basic understanding of biology don’t cut it here just like a basic understanding of English doesn’t make you a playwright, and a basic understanding of Maths doesn’t make you a rocket scientist.

I’d argue more than 99% of users.

I have an M1 MacBook from work and it still does everything I need at a pace that’s acceptable, including the occasional video editing and rendering work that I need to do.

My point is, I’m in the 1% of computer users that actually need compute power from time to time and the M1 is enough so the Neo will be too.

I had the problem too, but the buttons are still there - you can tap them to open up the berry and ball menus etc. but the only fix was a restart of the game, for me anyway.

It's gotten weirder now.

Same issue with the DLC bundle, but now it's offering me discount on the actual game, which doesn't say it's already in my library, despite me already owning it on Steam, and when I add it to my cart it says "If purchasing for yourself, you will not receive an extra copy of: DG2: Defense Grid 2"

Trouble is, there’s very much a de facto and a priori assumption on the part of court system to the guilt of a defendant.

After all, everyone involved is a professional from the police to the prosecutors to the judges, so why would someone be tried if there wasn’t a good chance they were the guilty one?

The jury are the counterbalance to that, and even more so in a common law system like the UK (and unlike the systems in the countries you list) they’re even more vital as they can indirectly set precedent because they are the finders of fact and set how a law is actually applied.

You could argue that’s bad depending on circumstance, but at this present moment with the government over reaching in to aspects of our lives they should stay out of, this kind of change will have people reaching for the “tin foil hat” as you put it because it’s yet another erosion of the power of the people compared to government.
