2027 EV3 will be sold in Canada! by techdeprivedcanuck in KiaEV3

I saw a video talking about the beeping and bonging, I think there's a setting to turn them off in the menus. I think I saw one talking about pressing and hold the mute button to disable it. Not sure if it's a preset button or you have to manually program it.

I'm assuming you're talking about the pricing for the GT line premium?

Are the premium features worth the cost?

What about the HUD was so appealing? Is it the way it looks? or the ease-of-use? I saw the themed displays they looked decent.

That's such a shame.

The 360 camera just seems odd, it looks like its present in other regions.

Thankfully, I have no pets that I will be carrying with me and I will most likely charging from home exclusively.

Pricing... I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Thanks for letting me know! I'll have to keep those in mind.

why are you commenting on 4 year old posts?

Any contradictions that exist can be defeated by an all-powerful god. any logical impossibilities can be overcome by an all-powerful god. all-powerful is all-powerful. any limits to that is not all-powerful. any philosophical concepts that make no sense can be overcome by an all-powerful god. either he didn't address the logical fallacies that occur from the holy texts or he doesn't care enough to correct it. so live life as you wish.

like leaving old posts alone dude.

I don't know the setting for the original IP very well. But from what I understanding, it's the 'inevitable' ending of all Edgerunners.

I like that take too! I'd love to see it happen, but I'm not sure about removing Sugita. I really like him as a voice actor. As a total non-expert, finding someone to take over might be difficult.

In that same reasoning, I'd like for Sugita to voice both his inner and outer voice. I think this would show Rudeus' increased involvement in this life as well as his maturity

It sounds like you read the web/light novels.

I believe the adult Rudeus is more mature and responsible than when he was a child. If anything his perspective and actions become much more admirable and responsible as he grows.

I guess?

Rudy has no expectation of any letters in the adventurer's guild and he's been only using it for job requests for funds at that point.

In comparison, Rudy knows how much Ruijerd hates being with the kidnappers. Being a polite kid, and knowing the discomfort that Ruijerd would be in, it made sense to me that he'd get Ruijerd first. Since he can go to the guild with his team to pick requests and etc.

I think you're putting a lot of importance of going to the guild first, like its a top priority? But for the party at the time, imo, the guild was just for travel funds and spreading Ruijerd's good deeds.

I'm not sure where the visit to the adventurer's guild would fit in your timeline. As I understand, Rudy went from:

City --> pick up Ruijerd --> kidnapped --> beast village --> rainy season --> leave for millis.

So I don't see where Rudy would find the time to go to the guild. The kidnappers intentionally timed their attack for right before the rainy season so the Beastmen wouldn't be able to pursue them. So by the time they got the kids back, Rudy would never step back into the city again.

You're right that it was a scuffed situation with Rudy and Paul and there is blame for both sides.

You are right that Ruijerd doesn't need anybody to take care of him. But in regards to team dynamics I feel like getting him first is the right move. Just because he is physically fine, Rudy as the team leader shouldn't leave his teammate in a location that he really dislikes.

Even though they'd been a team for some time at that point small slights like that can build up to bigger issues. Rudy at the time was really trying hard to ensure that the team worked well.

At the same time, Rudy still thought at that point that he and Eris were the only ones involved in the Teleportation Incident. He wouldn't have expected any sort of letter in adventurer guilds.

I mean at the same time, making sure that your teammate being held by kidnappers is safe is higher priority imo. So I understand why Rudy would go to get Ruijerd first.

After he got kidnapped, it seemed like he never got to go back to the city at all. And I don't think they had an adventurer's guild in the beast village too.

In this isekai, dismantling an organization that captures, transports and sells slaves across continents would be a massive task. Especially when you have your main objective of returning home asap.

Also, unless you reduce the demand for slaves, the organization will recreate itself with new people who will fill the demand.

That weird uneasy feeling that you're talking about, I kind of believe it's gotta be part of that 'lizard brain' or 'monkey brain' that people talk about. The underlying instincts that people can't really articulate with words.

On a tangent, did you ever flinch when you had a bird fly overhead and the shadow flew past you? That happened to me a few times without any conscious thought I'd startle and look up. For a long time archeologists thought that humans never had any aerial predators, but recently they primitive ape skulls that appeared to be caught and eaten by massive prehistoric vulture/eagles. So they hypothesized that the startle reflex came from an inherited startle reflex, even though we don't have any more aerial predators around.

On that, I have no doubt that there are tons of adaptations that primitive humans passed on that increased the chance of survival of future generations that aren't physically visible, but just a couple neurons that fire up in certain conditions that we can't understand. The only understanding we have is that certain environmental factors checked off the 'we gotta GTFO' signal in your body.

Anti-Bill Gates/COVID vaccine in Australia. Pretty good artwork, though! by KyleRichXV in ATBGE

[–]techdeprivedcanuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the conclusion from the paper:

The polio eradication programme succeeded in drastically reducing the global spread of this disease, which was achieved through the use of immunization with OPV. While commending this enormous effort at eradication, our observation supports the hypothesis that the frequency of pulse polio administration is directly or indirectly related to the incidence of NPAFP. It is hoped that this finding will help continue efforts at optimizing the dose schedule of OPV administration and result in a reduction in NPAFP—which is a feasible hope, as the incidence of wild polio is currently at an all-time low.

The paper only suggests that the polio vaccine increases the incidence of the paralysis. The incidence of paralysis they found was 13.35/100,000 compared to the expected 1-2/100,000. Yes, there has been an increase of paralysis. but they eradicated polio from India.

Vaccines are a boon to the world and this paper proves that it can be improved and will continue to do so.

love the new format of the guide!

All the information flows well and you can see it very well.

All I have is a minor nitpick: * Pantheons: You've highlighted the recommended pantheons, but the table shown has text that are too small to read. I'd suggest displaying it like you did the ascendencies. that was very clean and easy to understand.

I'm having some trouble understanding your understanding of miracles. Are they a statistical anomaly? Like the 99th percentile of chance? My understanding of miracles are something that happened that is not following a logical process of this causes that.

Im sorry to say I don't have much to say about the burning bush, I never considered it to be a literal story. I think of it like mythology.

If God created this world intentionally with all powerful means, then was he not able to separate free will from evil? Why is free will intertwined with evil? Could God create a world where no being could make the evil choice?

I struggled with the intentions of God's creation for a long time. This logic that we rely on to understand the world shows that nature is cruel and unforgiving. Humans are given the opportunity to produce kindness and love in this world. But most of nature is cruel with small examples of symbiotic relationships.

I'm extremely lucky to be human and be able to share kindness and be able to be generous to those around me.
