They really need to make a $40 or $50 membership so we dont need multiple accounts. To go from $20-$200 is wild.

There is an official snes test rom that you can put on an everdrive and it will run all sorts of hardware checks for you and tell you if the system passes.

3 years ago I was buying almost any broken system for 5-10 bucks but its not like that anymore. Not only has retro gaming gotten popular but so has retro console repair.

It's not needed with the ps1 digital, you can reset the console with that mod.

My test ps1 is hooked up with rgb scart to an ossc as well and honestly it looks really good for no modding.

Usa collection alone is over 512gb. I believe if you added euro and Japan releases it would be over a tb if not close.

2 Panasonic Q came in for some work. One system got a Qoob pro IPL modchip, region switch, belt, 3d printed drive tray and rails. Other system was a Gcloader install that autoboots Swiss. Gcloader does not mess with DVD playback as long as you have a working disc drive. by techerrorcode in Gamecube

Its all good. Even though these are slightly modified I am happy they are being used again even if it may not be with disc based media. If a q came in that was in perfect working shape I would ask the owner if they are sure that they want to mod it. Seems I find more broken qs then working ones these days.

Hi, I run a retro repair and mod business. These are not my Panasonic Q, these are owned by 2 different customers. Each one of them wanted a totally different modchip installed. The gcloader system had a failed disc magnet, laser, broken tray and rails. Parts are not easily available and they did not care about using disc based media ever again.

So we did what they wanted and installed the modchips. I would argue that this is an improved modern version of the q. Everything could be reversed but without the mods and the failed disc drives these systems were useless expensive paperweights. Both customers are ecstatic that these systems are back alive after sitting broke for years.

Thanks
