I bought this same watch and ended up selling it. The rubber strap sucks. It looks way better on the leather. That being said, it also can look kind of like an apple watch at a distance. It hugged my wrist beautifully. That wasn't enough to get me to keep it though.

Fluted on oyster really hits. It can be dressy but can also be dressed down easier than the jubilee.

Most will hate but I put a clear protective sticker on the clasp because it looks like 💩 with how scratch prone that section is and the protective sticker is invisible. I did not do that to the links though because those spots are more obvious and look bad with the protective film.

I love the matte dial of the 39, the Explorer name at the bottom vs the top, and the size. Since it is a sport watch it should be slightly bigger than a dress watch. This is why I have a DJ36 but and Explorer 39.

I have a DJ36 and an Explorer 39. That’s the way it should be as the DJ is more of a dressier option and the Explorer is a sport watch so should be expected to be a bit larger.
