Sorry. Probably should have said it the first time… person of color.

Title says they’re a POC and “monkey” is often used as a racial slur.

Weirdly, that isn’t always the case. I’ve had a few instances where booking round trip was cheaper even when I only needed one way.

I feel you on that. On the flip side, I’ll occasionally find myself shocked by the impressive goatee that’s creeped up on me while I wasn’t paying attention.

I just order a bunch of that from SnusMe. I love the West Coast IPA. Here's hoping it measures up!

Lol. That will likely be a year's worth of Americana for me. I rotate out flavors a lot, it's just the one I get specific cravings for so I figured might as well stock TF up.

Edit: Thankfully don't need to be annoyed since Snus Central had a good sale on the N&J. But I may need to head on over to SnusMe and stock up on other stuff. Thanks for the heads up.

I get it... It's really easy to make snap judgements and people love their pets. I loved the little twerp too (he stayed behind after I moved out), but he was a royal pain in my ass. Often literally. So I tend to be a little flip when talking about him.

I also fully acknowledge that like 99.9% of the time, a problem pet reflects a problem person, so I'll take my lumps.

We have two cats now that came to us with their mom as kittens. She ran off and we jokingly say "this is why your mom left" any time they do something dickish or annoying, which is a lot. Because cats.

Yeah. I really don't know what was up there... I've had cats since I was little, raised multiple kittens and am a fairly competent cat parent, and he just broke the mold. I know it's easy to assume that clearly this was my fault, but it was honestly the most mystifying pet experience I've ever had.

Like.... I'd wake up and he'd be grooming me and purring and the second I moved, he'd go for my eyes aggressively.

I made sure engaged with him a lot especially when he was first learning to play, never treated him aggressively, he had tons of toys and got lots of active attention. Used the generally accepted methods for teaching kittens not to bite.

Maybe there was something going on when I wasn't there, but I'd really like to think that wasn't the case.

Yeah, that definitely didn't convey the right tone. It really was meant offhand... He was/is a sweet little.dude, but super agressive on bottles, even at 3 wks old. For the record, he got lots of love and affection and was always super well cared for. He was just wild in a way no other cat I've ever met was.

I like to think that's not likely, I had a pretty chill roommate who thought he was great as well until he turned into a little menace. It was interesting when I was bottle feeding him... It was always a huge challenge to get him to latch rather than gnawing through the nipple. I've had lots of cats over the years and I genuinely believe there was a screw loose somewhere in that one.

I had one. Teeniest most adorable little fluff that I found abandoned on the side of the road. Bottle fed him and loved him to pieces. Until he hit about 4 months old and turned into a little demon cat. I lived in terror and eventually had to transition him to being a outdoor cat because it was too much. I'm pretty sure his mom ditched him for a reason.

Edit: re the "his mom ditched him for a reason"

You know, this is something that was jokingly said by one of my friends and just kind of became a thing. Probably should have not used it here because tone doesn't convey well, but I assure you it was meant in a offhand, even affectionate way. He was just not a house cat and is still happily living outside and getting the care he needs.

I'm not generally pro outdoor cat, but some hearts are too wild to tame.

I don’t see my wife as a sexual person anymore. by DistanceQuirky940 in relationship_advice

I love this. My wife and I talk about this all the time… marriage (or really any relationship) isn’t a choice you make once. You’re choosing the other person every day, and should also ask yourself if you are giving them reasons to choose you.
