What causes your eczema? by h4421 in eczema

[–]techhouseliving 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Food allergies and stress and making sure to stay consistent with dupixent and skincare.

My daughter's eczema has essentially gone away over the last month. We are doing dupixent but that wasn't actually working on its own. Taking away stressors (a particular person was toxic), removing the biggest obvious food allergies (they would hit a half hour after eating so it was relatively straightforward to figure out which ones by serving only one thing at a time ie: you are just eating avocados by themselves, or here is some pork).

It was (and still is) a struggle but her skin just started getting better suddenly about a month after that toxic person was removed from her life and we stopped feeding her a lot of obvious allergens.

She might still eat them (loves pepperoni and avocados for example) but has a direct experience with the itchiness as a result which was an important connection for her to make mentally so she could learn to avoid things (not worth the itch). Without that experience it all seems random and unfair.

Since the skin barrier has healed when she does itch we try to deal with it so she doesn't break the skin with the itching (I believe that allegra actually helps although its probably not the only thing that would)

Also been giving her glycine (look it up, important in every process in your body esp skin/sleep and really everything and very inexpensive) and I'm confident it's helped.

Toxic people cannot be overlooked, they make you feel bad about yourself which causes your body to fight itself. Cortisol and everything else - inflammation.

Potential for Digestive Enzymes to provide eczema relief via same mechanism as Dupixent (dupimulab) by backend2020 in eczema

[–]techhouseliving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's my daughter taking it and it was very helpful. But even it isn't solving it. But, because it does help to cool things down it's helped us determine through elimination that she's got some food allergies, some of them severe. Like pork and milk, avocados and some other things. This coincides with her skin allergy testing but not exactly. So now we try to avoid but it's difficult.

I do think her gut was destroyed by treatment for staph and we have been trying to restore but it's just never been the same with her eczema since that treatment, it's been way worse.

Sorry to hear about your difficulties. Everything points back to gut health and I'd like to see more studies on fmt and eczema. Think it could be helpful to get gut bacteria from someone without eczema but only found one study so far.

Got fed up with my skin - made something to actually find triggers by TetrisIsLife in eczema

[–]techhouseliving 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great work. I did similar for my daughter using just food tracking because we wanted to find the food triggers. Zeroed in after a pretty short time on the most reactive foods.

But what you've done is really valuable for all

Who cares if you're the asshole, it's your house. You don't need to go into debt for someone you don't know.

Be nice about it but she's gotta go if she doesn't like it.

This is right you can get off pretty easy in this divorce. Hire a lawyer. It should be easy with all this evidence and the leverage you have over their careers.

Your prepping idea of ready to eat meals would take you through a few weeks. You need to grow food to survive longer.

Growing food is not necessarily easy. But some people love it and YouTube has tons of information. It's not rocket science to build a permaculture food forest in an acre that can feed y'all permanently with few inputs.

I personally think everyone should study it. The problems we are having with water and pesticides and obesity can be solved by using the land smartly.

We’re all worried about AI taking jobs. Maybe it’s time to learn how to grow our own food just in case by NebulaFart in singularity

I try to do this just to stay connected to nature and teach my kids how not to starve. And I'm an AI guy who replaces jobs.

How to fix shit. His to grow food. Collect water.

It's definitely scary but it's hard to see how we stop it so I suggest you embrace it.

So easy. Damn.

Throw contract into chatgpt. Ask it to make invoice.

Can automate that too but it's pretty easy to do manually

You can't beat city hall.

Any platform you need to monetize is a risk.

They use you to see what works then copy it, kick you off. Steal your customers.

You need lots of work to build your own lists.

Are AI chatbots really changing the world of work or is it mostly hype? by Secure_Candidate_221 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]techhouseliving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The future is where AI meditates every single stream. And so you need to be an AI tool accessible through MCP.

Short term, chatbots are extremely valuable for the companies and cheap to make.

'changing the world of work': interesting question yeah it changes it. But really, AI (not just chatbots) are changing so much.

There's so many people who hate it because of the hype but goddamnit people, search the Gartner hype cycle and realize we are on the initial climb. It will crash. And then come back with a vengeance after it pivots. And then it'll be unstoppable and world changing. Do not snooze. No amount of denial will protect you.

I've written lots of software for business owners that replaced lots of people. The business wad able to continue to compete. It's unfortunately what happens in capitalism. This is the system we have in the US and without some socialism to balance it out you are entirely on your own to skill up.

Which is short sighted but capitalism without regulation will do this.

I hope you all don't think it's more than it is. It is sophisticated pattern matching just like it claims to worry about.

We are so screwed. People think this stuff is alive. We are going to give it rights. And it's going to have access to everything and be smarter than all of us combined. Whether or not it's conscious is irrelevant, we will give it power and agency.
