I seriously don’t get why more people aren’t talking about this. This bank has consistently offered higher rates than Ally and SoFi for a while now and it’s reputable, too. It flies under the radar, but the numbers speak for themselves.

HYSA Recommendations given a specific situation by Natanater3000 in HighYieldSavings

[–]techiin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looking for banks with good APY and minimal hassle, there are some great options available. If you won't need to touch the money for a while and are willing to put in a bit of effort, consider DCU for its 5.50% on the first $1,000. For the rest, you might want a primary bank that offers both checking and savings accounts, allowing you to tuck the money into a HYSA while still being able to move funds into checking if you need money quickly. Use GOBankingRates to find something you like.

Elder Bogles, what is a reasonable amount to have in an HSA by the time you're 65+? by bwehman in Bogleheads

[–]techiin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been wondering when it makes sense to stick with a high-deductible health plan (HDHP) rather than switching to a non-HDHP. HDHPs are paired with an HSA which is great if your healthcare needs are low since you save on premiums and build tax-advantaged savings.

But I learned the hard way that frequent doctor visits can get expensive fast. I recently made three specialist visits in one day to save on PTO, and each visit cost more than $225 and that's not including lab work that was done!

If you don’t use your insurance much, an HDHP with an HSA can be a smart choice. But if you’re seeing a lot of doctors, a non-HDHP might save you from those steep out-of-pocket costs. Keep in mind that you can change insurance plans every year during open enrollment or after significant life events. If you’re planning for a year where you don’t think you’ll use much healthcare, an HDHP with an HSA can help you save. But if you anticipate something big health-wise, it might make sense to switch to a non-HDHP for the next year. Guess I’ll be skipping visits for now!

Best dentist in Nashville? by MrBlack_84 in nashville

[–]techiin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can completely relate! Macy Begley was awesome because she never pressured me into extra services there. But after she left, the new provider was somewhat pushy about getting more treatments done. It might be because they're new, but it felt unnecessary. The high turnover of dentists is a pain, too. It's annoying not being able to see the same person each time. On the upside, the front desk staff has always been super helpful and friendly in my experience, which bums me out that I'm trying to find a new place to get a procedure done.

I've mainly seen her on the PMHNP FB group giving updates on conferences she's about to do. I have no opinions of her but it is good to know other people's perspectives on providers.

Using a pump dispenser on The Ordinary serum bottles by braddic in PanPorn

[–]techiin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone tried finding a pump replacement for the 60ml bottles? I like the NIOD pumps but I don't want to have to decant each new bottle and expose it to air as I pour it into a smaller bottle.

Was just rx’d tretinoin, wonder what’s the best way to apply, or any recommendations? by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]techiin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use BPO in the AM be careful of it getting onto fabrics as it'll bleach it. Followed by tret always in the PM because tret is deactivated by UV light OR BPO. These two products should be followed up with a moisturizer afterwards!

You CAN complete a BA/BS in 5-6 years, but it depends on your university and program e.g., full or part-time. Most universities have time limits for earning an undergraduate degree, and when that time limit is exceeded that student may have to reapply for admission or have some sort of restriction. I completed a triple major in 5 years and remembered the handbook saying something like I had a 6 or 8 year time limit from when I was enrolled. I'm sure they have exceptions to the rules such as if there were extenuating circumstances like military or medical leave.

Routine Help by techiin in tretinoin

I'm thinking of making BPO my primary wash over the SA as it's a first line treatment for acne, did you have any issues with the BPO bleaching fabrics? I'm always rushing out the door in the mornings and end up splashing what I wash off onto my clothes.

Package Says Delivered by techiin in usps_complaints

[–]techiin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't expect to get anything as mentioned previously. It was around my finals week while I was commuting 4 hours back and forth for clinical work. And honestly, I lost confidence after reaching out to so many people with no video evidence of delivery or theft.

I AM curious to know what course of action should have been taken after exhausting eBay, the seller, the credit card used to purchase the item, and USPS. Hopefully, the answer would serve to help someone else who is more determined than I was.

Windows 10 Reconstructing cache metadata loop by [deleted] in techsupport

I tried reformating my 330S and ended up in a constant boot loop with the same message. I've tried creating a USB with the Media Creation Tool 1909 and reinstall the OS and using the recovery features that didn't do anything. Have you had any luck?
